Requested Resolution Normal This Protocol Revision Request (PRR) revises the definition of Transmission and/or Service Provider (TDSP) to include Entities that Revision Description have been selected to own and operate Transmission Facilities and have a code of conduct approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT). The current definition of TDSP is partially limited to new Entities that were selected to own and operate Transmission Facilities as part of the PUCT Order for Docket No. 35665, Commission Staff’s Petition for the Selection of Entities Responsible for Transmission Improvements Necessary to Deliver Renewable Energy from Reason for Revision Competitive Renewable Energy Zones. This PRR would allow for any Entity that was selected to own and operate Transmission Facilities and has a code of conduct approved by the PUCT to be a TDSP and not limit to only those Entities approved in Docket No. 35665. Overall Market Benefit Facilitates quicker TDSP registration with ERCOT.

2.1 Definitions

Transmission and/or Distribution Service Provider (TDSP) An Entity that owns or operates for compensation in this state, equipment or Facilities to transmit and/or distribute electricity, and whose rates for Transmission Service, distribution service, or both is set by a Governmental Authority or an Entity that was selected to own and operate Transmission Facilities bylisted in the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) Order in Docket No. 35665, Commission Staff’s Petition for the Selection of Entities Responsible for Transmission Improvements Necessary to Deliver Renewable Energy from Competitive Renewable Energy Zones, which in accordance with P.U.C. SUBST . R. 25.272, Code of Conduct for Electric Utilities and Their Affiliateshas a code of conduct approved by the PUCT.
