PROTOCOL

Clause l: The Definition of the Parties This protocol has been signed by the “METU Cultural and Convention Centre” (will be referred to as CCC from here on) and ………………… (will be referred to as DEPARTMENT/RESEARCH CENTRE from here on).

Clause 2: The Subject of the Protocol The scope of the hall(s), the technical devices to be used and the catering services to be provided by the CCC on …………………………….. dates for the “………………….. ……………...... ” activity to be conducted by the DEPARTMENT/RESEARCH CENTRE is stated. lause 3: Unit Prices The usage and the charges for the DEPARTMENT/RESEARCH CENTRE to use the CCC:

Clause 3.1: Usage of Hall(s) ……………………… Halls will be assigned to the DEPARTMENT/RESEARCH CENTRE by the CCC at no cost.

Clause 3.2: The Usage of Technical Hardware Telephone Fax communication / connection is subject to a fee. The technical hardware will be assigned to the DEPARTMENT/RESEARCH CENTRE at no cost. Audio recording cassettes, the batteries of the collar and radio microphones will be submitted to the CCC by the DEPARTMENT/RESEARCH CENTRE at least one day before the event.

Clause 3.3: Food and Beverage Services

Clause 3.4: Personnel Costs The working hours of the CCC personnel during the week are between 8:30 – 17:30. In case the event exceeds the 17:30 limit and / or takes place at the weekend the daily personnel cost has to be paid to the CCC by the DEPARTMENT/RESEARCH CENTRE.

Clause 4: Payment OVERALL TOTAL: …………………… (………………….. Turkish Lira) The DEPARTMENT/RESEARCH CENTRE will deposit the personnel cost of the overall total of ……………. TL ( ………….. Turkish Lira) to the CCC and the rest to the bank account given below at least three days prior to the event.

Clause 5: Mutual Covenant Clause 5.1:Any damage done in the halls and to the equipment either by the audience or the participants is under the responsibility of the DEPARTMENT/RESEARCH CENTRE. Any such damage to the halls or the equipment will be reimbursed from the DEPARTMENT/RESEARCH CENTRE. Clause 5.2:In no way will pasting, nailing or posting anything on the walls of hall, doors, or ceilings be tolerated other than the places approved by the CCC. Clause 5.3:The DEPARTMENT/RESEARCH CENTRE is responsible for hauling any kind of material to be brought from outside to the premises of CCC. Clause 5.4:It is not permitted to hang flags, pennants, banners, posters etc. on the exterior of the CCC building except for the locations approved by the CCC. Clause 5.5:Food and beverage services to the CCC from outside are strictly not accepted. Clause 5.6: The DEPARTMENT/RESEARCH CENTRE cannot transfer over the rights it is entitled by this protocol to third parties. Clause 5.7:The parties are free to annul this protocol without the need of further negotiations or responsibilities in case of force major incidents such as earthquakes, floods, wars, unaccountable natural occurrences, epidemics, partial or general mobilization declaration that would effect the country and hinder the activity. Clause 5.8:According to the related laws and court orders, dress code and attire restriction is in effect within METU.

Clause 6: Arbitration of Dispute Clause 6.1: The present protocol consists of six clauses and has been devised and signed by the parties in a single copy.
