Knowledge of: Thorough knowledge of personnel management (e.g., recruitment, employee supervision, K1. collective bargaining agreements, staff development, progressive discipline, etc.) in order to manage staff resources. Comprehensive knowledge of current computer industry technology and practices to provide K2. guidance, consultation and advice, and make Information Technology (IT) related decisions. K3. Comprehensive knowledge of concepts related to managing change in the IT environment. Comprehensive knowledge of IT communication systems (e.g., network infrastructure, etc.) to K4. consult and make decisions on complex IT issues. Knowledge of the department’s Equal Employment Opportunity program and the processes to K5. ensure compliance and maintain a work environment free from harassment and discrimination. General knowledge of principles of the governmental functions and organizations at the State K6. level, including the legislative process in order to successfully obtain project authority and funding. (e.g., ITIL and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques) to efficiently and effectively manage IT resources and services. Samples:

Willingness to work overtime and on-call hours as required. Willingness to work rotating shifts (that is, Saturday and or Sunday shifts) in emergency situations on an as-needed basis. Willingness to work holiday work shifts in emergency situations. Willingness to climb ladders to heights of approximately 30 feet. Willingness to work at heights between approximately 30 and 100 feet.
