CONNELLSVILLE AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION ORGANIZATION MEETING –DECEMBER 5, 2007

Minutes of the regular meeting of the Board of School Directors of the Connellsville Area School District held in the Connellsville Area Senior High School, 201 Falcon Drive, Connellsville, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at 7:00 PM.

CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by the President, Francis Mongell at 7:26 p.m.

Others present included Superintendent Duncan, District Administrators Chrise, Clawson, Cunningham, Keefer, Lembo, Marko, Omatick, Parlak and Savini, Building Administrator Kanaan, two reporters and approximately ten concerned citizens.

MOMENT OF SILENCE/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE A moment of silence was observed and followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, led by President Mongell.

Move that Jeffrey Harvey be nominated temporary president for the purpose of organization.

Board Secretary reading of the certificates of election for the newly elected and re-elected board members:

Jon Detwiler James Fabian Kevin Lape Denise Martin Francis Mongell

Administration of the oaths of office for the newly elected and re-elected board members by the temporary president.

Move that Francis Mongell be nominated for the office of Board President for a one year period.

Move that Jeffrey Harvey be nominated for the office of Board Vice-President for a one year period.

Move that Jon Detwiler and Loretta Lint be appointed to the Connellsville City Recreation Board for one year terms.

Request approval to conduct the monthly non-voting public committee meeting of the Board of School Directors of the Connellsville Area School District on the following Monday of each month at 8:00 p.m. prevailing time in the Senior High School cafeteria, and conduct the public voting meeting at 7:00 p.m. prevailing time on the Wednesday following said Monday also in the Senior High cafeteria:
