6/2016 Feedback from Directors SC confirmed to Governors that Pilton Community College are to join the PAT. AL explained that the Head of PCC is very keen and enthusiastic. SC explained that the increase in pupil numbers across the PAT will mean that CIF bids will no longer need to be made but rather a sum of money will be awarded to the PAT regularly and can be spent where most needed. SC said that there continues to be discussions around schools in the PAT that contribute more or less than others to the ‘central pot’ of funds. PM suggested that there will be hefty public examination costs for a secondary school. However, PM also pointed out that most academy trusts are multi rather than primary or secondary and so clearly this can be done successfully. SC explained to Governors that the word Primary will need to be replaced in PAT and that all ideas for this would be welcomed. KB asked if Head of HR had been appointed and AL confirmed this. KB asked if there is any further accurate information on the PAT central team vacating the offices at Woodwater. AL said that this is likely to be happening but that there is currently no time line on it. SC said that a CIF bid has been made to replace an area of grass with astro turf but it is likely to be the end of March before there’s any news on the outcome of that bid.

7/2016 Standing Reports a. Health and Safety No questions were submitted on this report prior to the meeting. Fire doors - AL has not seen the referred to quote but will chase this up and push through to premises.

AL said that the tables against the fire door referred to are not quite accurate as this is an electric shutter and not a fire door. AL would like to ascertain who has deemed the Summer House to be unfit as the quinquennial check did not pick it up and therefore MPS are going to revisit to confirm. The report on this will be forwarded to Governors once received.
