Job Description First United Methodist Church St. Charles
Position: Marketing Coordinator
Accountable to: Peter Norton, Associate Pastor
Responsible for: • Work with the church staff to plan and implement marketing campaigns for major church events and ministries throughout the year. • Manage and uphold the First United Methodist Church St. Charles brand. • Coordinate church communications across various media; including but not limited to church website, Facebook page, signage, and other print media.
Spiritual: • Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. • Committed to personal spiritual growth and healthy lifestyle. • Considers this position a ministry, not just a job. • Committed to the Covenant of Expectations for the Staff of First United Methodist Church St. Charles.
Skills: • Strong background in marketing and design. • Exceptional communication skills and organizational abilities. • Ability to work in and contribute to an overall staff team “strengths-based” environment. • Commitment to excellence. • Ability to proofread copy. • Ability to focus on both details and the big picture.
Education and Experience: • Preferred but not required Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Printing Technologies, Communications, related degree, or related job experience. • Experience running marketing campaigns and design.
Additional Responsibilities: • Attend the Worship Planning meeting, Mondays 11:30 a.m. -1 p.m. and Staff Huddle 1- 2 p.m.
