VALHALLA TRAINING CENTER’S ROB PINCUS INVITED TO SPEAK AT THE 2006 INTERNATIONAL NATO LAW ENFORCEMENT SYMPOSIUM

Brunssum, The Netherlands - Rob Pincus was invited to speak on Outsourcing Military and Law Enforcement Training and Reality Based Training Principles at the 2006 International Law Enforcement Symposium at NATO Joint Forces Command Headquarters during the week of April 3-7, 2006.

The Symposium was instituted and organized by Lt. Col. Andreas Birke, German Military

Police. The objective was to bring together representatives from all NATO countries representing both Military and Civil Law Enforcement for the purpose of discussing training, tactics and force protection.

Pincus presented to the group on day four of the symposium. Outsourcing Military and Law

Enforcement training is a relatively new idea in Europe and Lt. Col. Birke felt that Pincus’ experience, particularly as the Director of Operations at The Valhalla Training Center in

Colorado, provided significant discussion surrounding such opportunities. “To be invited by Lt.

Col. Birke to speak at such an important conference to representatives from all over Europe is quite and honor,” said Pincus. “The opportunity to share information from the cutting edge of training with our NATO allies was outstanding.”

During these sessions, specifics of training, techniques and tactics were discussed. Portions of the conference were also conducted at the Static Warfare Headquarters at Castlegate and

Gielenkirchen Airfield, both in Germany.

In addition to law enforcement representatives from various countries, including Germany, The

Netherlands, Austria, The United Kingdom, Spain and The United States, representatives from various manufacturers of equipment for law enforcement personnel were also invited to attend and present information about their products.

As the Director of Shooting Operations, Rob Pincus controls the full spectrum of programs at the

Valhalla Training Center. Pincus is one of the next generation of world-class instructors whose theories and courses are based on what really happens during violent encounters. Pincus has experience and training in law enforcement, private security and military ventures and has worked as a consultant and instructor for many years. Additionally, he is a staff writer for

S.W.A.T. Magazine and has contributed to many other publications including Tactical Response,
