The internet has made a huge amount of data and information instantly available to a large number of people. Sometimes an internet search will result in too many, unspecific responses and it can be hard to identify the information you want. An important skill in ICT is the ability to be able to effectively search for information and research a topic quickly and effectively. Task
Next year will be John Peters’ 50th birthday. As part of his celebrations he would like to visit the town where his father was born and raised – Great Yarmouth. John is not very experienced at internet research and so he has asked you to help him.
John has given you a specific set of questions he would like to know the answers to. Using an internet search engine see if you can find the answers to John’s questions. Write your answers in the boxes provided.
1. John lives in King’s Lynn, Norfolk. He would like to know how far it is to Great Yarmouth and how long it is likely to take him to travel there by car.
