SWITCHING MARRATECH ROOMS INSTRUCTION SHEET

To enter Stanford CCR lounge for the Welcome and Introductory Remarks  Launch the Marratech Program  Type http://switchboard.stanford.edu into the address bar on Marratech; hit enter  Then click on “CCR Lounge” to enter that room  Click Camera on, but be sure your microphone is turned off (button on the lower right of the Marratech interface) while you listen to the Introductory Remarks

To switch to your virtual Small Group Room ** Please be patient when switching. If you get a message that says, "Rooms Full" -- realize this is NORMAL. Wait a few moments and try switching again. DO NOT Reboot Marratech.**  Click on the “world” tab at the bottom left of the page.  Type http://switchboard.stanford.edu into the Marratech address bar  Click on the room with the same name as your group (i.e. Group B, click on the Room B link)  If you are prompted whether you want to start a new session or leave your room ALWAYS CHOOSE “LEAVE” or Marratech may crash  Turn your camera and your microphone ON when you start your group activity.  If you have trouble with sound, type in the Chat Box to communicate; let someone know

To switch back to CCR Main Lounge

 Click again on the “world” tab at the bottom of the page

  Type http://switchboard.stanford.edu into the Marratech address bar; hit enter  then click on CCR Lounge to enter that room  If prompted to save your small group whiteboard, save it to the desktop of your computer  If you are prompted whether you want to start a new session or leave your room ALWAYS CHOOSE “LEAVE” or Marratech may crash  Click Camera on, but be sure your microphone is turned off (button on the lower right of the Marratech interface) until it is time for your group presentation  Type comments in the chat after the groups present!

To Save your Whiteboard, from the File Menu, choose Export then Choose JPEG Then save the file on your desktop.
