ENERGY SAVING AND CLOSENESS, GIRBAU'S CORE ELEMENTS IN HOSTELCO 2012

The stand will display real laundries for hotels, coin-op laundries and community/route

Barcelona, September 12th 2012 - Girbau will focus Hostelco 2012 on two central lines. On the one hand, the energy savings achieved by all its equipment and its projects aimed at efficiency and sustainability. On the other hand, the capacity to respond quickly and adequately to its clients’ needs for laundries of every type and size, thanks to its wide range of equipment, its experience in the market and its closeness to clients.

Toni Rubies, the group's sales, marketing, service vicepresident, stresses that: "We want to show the value that makes us stand out, that which our clients appreciate, and which, together with them, has led to us becoming leaders in the Spanish market". "In short, it is what we call Easy & Best Solutions: the best laundry solution with the speed and ease that comes from having a great technical and sales network at our disposal". Energy efficiency will be reflected at Hostelco with the presentation in Spain of Girbau’s new line of (ED) Ecodryer dryers, with capacities of between 13 and 33 kg.

Among other features, ED dryers incorporate the Transflow system, which combines radial and axial air flows to aid the penetration of hot air into the linen, thereby exploiting the temperature to the maximum. In addition, Moisture Control provides a reliable system for controlling moisture levels. All of this with the gentleness and care for the fabric provided by the Care Touch Drum, a drum that prevents the linen from coming into contact with sharp edges, thus extending the life of the fabric. The dryers are also available in coin-op version.

For laundries with large production needs, we present the ST-1300 (63 kg capacity) dryer, which can work synchronised with a batch washer in a continuous or stand- alone setup. With a consumption of only 1kWh per evaporated litre, it is the market leader in terms of efficiency and is capable of completing 3-4 cycles per hour.

Mercè Girbau, the president of the group, insists that "we want to transmit to our clients the idea that we are at their side, working to ensure that their laundries consume less and are more competitive - one of the keys to ensuring the viability of their businesses".

Real coin-op laundry facilities can also be seen at the stand, together with a laundry for a 300-bed hotel and a facility for community/route. In the latter case, the aim is to show the benefits for the residents of a block of flats of having shared access to a laundry equipped with industrial machinery - a widespread trend in English-speaking For further information: Communication department: Mercè Bover [email protected] – T-93 886 11 00 countries and one which is beginning to appear in Spain. "Residents in a block quickly come to appreciate the benefits when they can wash, dry and iron linen with industrial equipment, while reducing their water, energy, chemical product and maintenance bills", says Toni Rubies.

Throughout the Hostelco fair, the stand will have continuous demonstrations of Girbau’s products and new services.
