RESOLUTIONS BY THE BOARD 1. .
PRESIDENT’S REPORT – Bob Benner
SECRETARY’S REPORT – Kathy Heightland August minutes were presented and approved. Vote was unanimous. Mrs. Heightland discussed the need for a Managers Meeting and the changes that will be taking place due to being a new district this year. It was decided we will have a Manager’s meeting on October 24th at 6:30 at the Ramada Inn. All who are involved in this are asked to prepare and review what you would like on the agenda to discuss.
TREASURER’S REPORT – Kris Dietz Treasures report was presented and approved. Vote was unanimous.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
FINANCE COMMITTEE – Kris Dietz
GAMBLING COMMITTEE – Mark Hickey Gambling’s July 2010 Activity Summary, tax return, allowable expenses, and September 2010 budget were presented and approved. Vote was unanimous.
MITES/SUPERMITES – John Dingle Charlie Paulson, Mite Hockey Director, sat in for John Dingle. He reported that the Mite numbers are currently at approximately 160 Rookie/Termites and 135 Supermites. This does not include the number the Squirt level will take into their program. These numbers are typical after the first two nights of registration as the Mite program receives late registrations up until November.
OPERATIONS UNIT – Dan Weber Mr. Weber reported that the Referee Clinic will be held at the Rec Center on September 25th at 8:00am.
MAHA – A scheduling meeting is scheduled for October 25th at the Ramada Inn. This meeting will be for all levels that are playing a D9 schedule. TRAVELING UNIT – Scott Schneider Mr. Schneider presented A level coaches to the board for approval: Vote was unanimous. At Bantam A Metro- Doug Zmolek At PeeWee A Metro- Ratzloff At Squirt A Metro- Scott Schneider The remaining A coaches at these levels will be chosen upon completion of tryouts.
HOCKEY ADVISORY - Doug Zmolek Mr. Zmolek reported that registration numbers for RYHA are level as in past seasons. Several Bantam eligible players have chosen to move to the High School level, but this occurs every year. PeeWee numbers are slightly lower but he does not anticipate a problem at this time. Mr. Zmolek is looking at scheduling level 1-3 Coach Clinics in Rochester this year and will report back when dates are established. District 9 is hosting a new Bantam Select Camp in Rochester this fall. These players will then be invited to tryout for the U15 Select team in the spring.
