BUCS Futsal Championships 2009-2010 – Regional Heat 3 & 4 Information BUCS Futsal Championships 2010 Regional Heat Information

This document outlines the final heats for the Men’s Futsal Championship. The fixtures have been arranged and all teams are expected to fulfil their fixtures. Everyone can still qualify for the National Finals.

At the last Advisory Group meeting there was some regional feedback about Futsal. Some Futsal rules and amendments were discussed with the following outcomes. Please make sure your teams are aware of the following notes and amendments.

Men:

Withdrawing: Please notify George Carney by email by the Wednesday before the regional heat if your team will not be attending or if you have doubts. This will allow for possible alterations to fixtures to be made and other teams notified. Many teams have to travel a long way and having no opponent is not acceptable. Teams that withdraw or do not show up are reminded there is a £200 fine.

Late for Fixtures: All teams need to arrive at least one game in advance of their first scheduled match and register with a member of the officials team. Teams on first must arrive on time and be ready to play. Due to tight scheduling, teams that are late will forfeit the match. The opposition will get the points. In the event of teams being tied at the end of the group games, goal difference from matches involving teams that have forfeited affecting tied teams will be excluded to make it a level playing field for everyone. If teams are tied and include a team that has forfeited, the team that has forfeited will go down a place.

More Games: Due to travel time / distance, teams requested more games, so where possible, games have been scheduled to give teams travelling a long way a more fixtures. Where groups have been combined this may mean some teams have played each other more times but the overall group will be an equal amount of games. As this is the last regional heat, some teams may only have 1 or 2 games.

League Tables: Up to date League tables can be found on the BUCS website on the futsal pages

First teams and second teams cannot play each other during the playoffs. If the draw means they will play each other they will be swapped with the nearest placed team, to be decided by the Lead tournament official at the regional heat.

The winners and runners up in Group AC and Group BD will go through to the final knock out match. The other 9 teams will play a playoff to decide who goes into the final knock out game. BUCS Futsal Championships 2009-2010 – Regional Heat 3 & 4 Information
