ABOUT DR. SHAFI Dr. Tariq Shafi grew up in Karachi, Pakistan. After he finished high school and pre- medical courses, he moved to Santo-Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic where he became fluent in the Spanish language and earned his MD in 1985. He then practiced medicine in various hospitals in Santo Domingo, and also in a private clinics. Dr. Shafi also worked as staff physician for the Santo Domingo YMCA for 3 years. Dr. Shafi migrated to USA in 1994 and became US Citizen in 2000. Dr. Shafi is eligible to practice medicine in various countries around the world. He has always had a profound interest in Wholistic, Alternative and herbal medicine. Dr Shafi became well known in the Wholistic and Alternative medical community Nationally and Internationally. Dr. Shafi keeps himself up to date with new techniques, technologies, treatment protocols and advances in medicine by periodically earning continuous medical education (CME) credits. Dr. Shafi’s love and passion for healing all those who suffer from either physical, emotional or spiritual ailments have earned him a great respect in the community. Dr. Shafi started his teaching carrier back in his teenage era, he initiated coaching center (Sir Sayed Coaching Center) in his country of birth, this coaching center is still operating by his friends making a great contributions in the lives of the students, many students are in medical, and engineer colleges and many have earned there professional degrees. His passion is to promote healing and transfer the knowledge to the future generations to make our world the best at it’s best.
