Date & Start Time: Saturday, June 14, 2014, at 9:00 am

Location: Paragould Community Center, 3404 Linwood Drive/Hwy 49, Paragould

Facility: This is an 8-lane 25 yard pool. We will determine whether we use 6 or 8 lanes based on the number of swimmers entered. We will be using the Colorado Timing System without touchpads. The therapeutic pool will not be open.

Bullpen: No bullpen will be offered. It is the coaches and swimmers responsibility to make it behind the blocks or appropriate lanes.

Eligibility: AAU Registered athletes and members of a South Wind Swim Conference Team. Entries will not be accepted without current AAU numbers.

Age Divisions: Individual events will be 6 & Under Exhibition, 8 & Under, 9 & 10 yrs, 11 & 12 yrs, 13 & 14 yrs, 15 – 18 yrs. Relays will be 8 & U, 10 & U, 12 & U, 14 & U and 18 & U with the stipulation that at least one swimmer on the relay must be in that age group. A swimmer’s age as of June 1 st shall determine their age division, unless they have declared otherwise.

Events: All events will be timed finals. Submit swimmer’s best SHORT COURSE YARD times to ensure proper seeding. This meet will be pre-seeded and will follow the South Wind Conference standard event order.

Scoring: Individual events: 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Relays: 18, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2

Results: Will be posted in the entry hall to the pool.

Awards: Individual Events: Ribbons will be awarded for 1st – 8th place in all age groups. Relay Events: Ribbons will be awarded for 1st – 3rd place. Heat ribbons will be awarded to the winner of each heat for each event. In the 6 & Under Exhibition events, Participant Ribbons will be awarded to each swimmer.

Entries: All teams enter using Hy-Tek. Entries must include each swimmer’s name, (first and last), AAU number, DOB and event. Please send entry times in short course yards.

Entry Limit: Each swimmer may swim a maximum of four (4) individual events and two (2) relays.

Entry Deadline: Entries must be submitted no later than 4:00 pm on Wednesday, June 11th. Deck entries will not be accepted the day of the meet. Send entries to Stephanie Dye at [email protected]. Verification that your entries were received will be sent back via e-mail. Rules and Safety: 2014 SWSC and USA rules shall govern this meet. Coaches should stay back from the pool's edge so not to interfere with stroke judges, timers, and other officials. Possessing a still or video camera or a cell phone with video capability is absolutely prohibited in all dressing areas, locker rooms, bathrooms, or any other location where swimmers may be dressing. Any person found possessing such devices in these areas will be asked to leave the meet. Please remind parents that any concerns should be directed to their child’s coach and NOT to any officials or coaches of other teams.

Smoking: Smoking and use of other tobacco products is prohibited on the pool deck, in the bathrooms, in spectator seating or standing areas, and in all other areas used by swimmers (including outside area – please make sure all family members are aware of this rule), during the meet and during the warm-up periods in connection with the meet. Personal vehicles are the best places to smoke for the safety of the swimmers.

Alcoholic Beverages: Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in all areas of the venue, including, but not limited to, pool deck, bathrooms, spectator seating or standing areas, and in all areas used by swimmers.

Heat Sheets: Heats sheets will be available at the meet for $5 each. Heat sheets will be provided for coaches and officials (please indicate the number of coaches that will be attending from your team with your entry information).

Concessions: Food, beverages and heat sheets ($5.00) will be available at the concession stand located just outside the pool near the walking track. NO GLASS CONTAINERS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE POOL DECK.

Hospitality: Available for Coaches and Officials. Drinks will be provided for timers.

Meet Referee/Starter: James Foster, Amy Adams

Officials: Greene County has some certified stroke and turn judges and a few that need to shadow. Each team must provide at least one (1) stroke and turn judge, to be rotated in and out during the meet. Please include the number of officials you will be bringing when you send in your entry information. Please wear a plain white shirt and dark shorts. The more officials we have, the shorter rotations we can take!

Timers: Timers will be needed throughout the meet. Timer lane assignments for each team will be sent out the week of the meet. It is recommended that your team submit a timer's sheet to the announcer the day of the meet to insure that there are plenty of timers from your team.

Warm-up: Please enter the pool feet first unless you are doing one way starts. When diving, all swimmers must only swim one way.

Warm-up Times: Warm-up times and lane assignments will be determined after all entries have been received. The last five minutes of each warm-up is for one-way starts.
