Diabetes is a chromic disorder that impacts upon almost every aspect of life. It can affect children, young people and adults of all ages, and is becoming more common. The number of people with diabetes continues to grow.

A special program about Diabetes was organized by CMS College of Education under the guidance of CMS Management. The program was conducted on 25.11.2015.

This program was started by Food Exhibition. The specialty of this exhibition is diabetes specialty center and hospital team members displayed various food items. It was not so big and grand but it was remarkable in its own way. There were remarkable specimens of vegetables. They pointed out Eatable and Non eatable items. S.No. Things Eatable Non-Eatable 1. 3. Greens Amaranthus, black night - greens, sesbania, mint

4. Grains Millet, ragi, wheat, jowar, - horse gram

5. Others Soft drinks, Junk food, preserved snacks The exhibition was a success in every way, students got some valuable information regarding vegetable which should be eaten and which should be avoided.

Next all students checked Blood Test for diabetes and Blood Pressure. The function presided by our honorable committee member Sri. Srikanth and by our principal of CMS College of Education. Our Principal Dr. Leonard Ashok sir welcomes the gatherings and presided over the program. Dr. Srikanth sir, committee member of CMS group gave a introduction of chief guest and gave a short speech about the health. He point out that, today’s life style is such there we should avoid the main three words in our life. That is “Hurry, Curry, and Worry”. Hurry and worry these both leads to our bad health and spicy things makes our health very worst. So this 3 dominates the human to go back in health. Dr. Balamurugan Sir, chief guest of this program gave an inspiring speech about education and the Diabetes. He gave more useful information about the aim of this program is to educate the population on risk factors screening and prevention potential complications and treatment possibilities diet and exercise through consultations. He point out that Teacher plays a vital role in developing important tool for the growth of a child education as well as his Growth and Health. We celebrate November 14th Inter National Diabetes Day. Every year diabetic foundation frames a theme. This year theme is “EAT HEALTH AND LIVE HEALTH”. 375 million people are suffering diabetic disease. One fifth of the diabetic population lives in India. So India called as a diabetic capital of the world. So we eat healthy and be healthy. Physical activities are needed to keep our body fit and healthy. If you avoid 2 things you can easily maintain your health. One is avoid stress for unwanted things and another one is hurrying your work. This program gave a chance to discuss, learn and form a plan to address the challenges that the youth were facing, interact, and share with each other their situations problems and solution. Program instilled the awareness amongst the youths regarding the big and even the small challenges they face. Student went home feeling more self-confident, self-reliant and hearing gained the knowledge they need to live successful lives without diabetes.
