COUNTRY DIRECTOR, SOUTH ASIA AND BURMA Headquarters, Marine Corps Forces Pacific, Camp Smith, HI Jun 2011– Apr 2015 International Political/Military Affairs … Represent MARFORPAC in bilateral forums and defense discussions to promote Theater Campaign Plan and U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) objectives. Coordinate multiple high-visibility, multinational events on behalf of MARFORPAC with multiple US Embassies and Country Team officials to plan, prepare and provide funding and resources were available for all exchanges, combined exercises, Subject Matter Exchange (SME), and multilateral conferences. Provide advice on South Asia/Burma issues to MARFORPAC and PACOM staff. Spearheaded efforts that gained access into Burma 2012 - 2014 as it gradually opened its doors to U.S. influence while maintain forward momentum as future U.S. policy unfolds. Operational Focus … Plan and execute multiple seminars involving multinational forces throughout the Pacific Rim. Forge access and capacity-building inroads with several developing nations, to include Burma, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. Provide advice and support to Commandant of the Marine Corps and the commanders of PACOM and MARFORPAC on numerous occasions. Assume additional responsibility on PACOM regions, as required, to accomplish the organization’s civil-military mission as well as ensure that present and future engagements are accurately entered in Theater Security Cooperation Management Information System (TSCMIS) and Overseas Humanitarian Assistance Shared Information System (OHASIS) Cross-Cultural Leadership … Possess understanding of other cultures throughout Southeast Asia and understanding of how an operational logistics background facilitates military training and lasting relationships between the U.S. and other nations. Coordinated seminars in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Wellington, New Zealand, and Manila, Philippines in support of annual Non-Lethal Weapons Executive Seminar (NOLES) as well as participated in the ASEAN Regional Forum Bio Preparedness Exercises in the Philippines 2012-2014. Assumed duty as lead planner and executed the first NOLES with the New Zealand Army in 2012—the USMC’s first significant engagement with that force since 1986. Planned and executed a Royal Thai Marine Corps orientation to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, CA in 2013 with JUSMAGTHAI. Facilitated the first Indian Navy amphibious vessel participation with a USMC organization for a joint exercise in 2013. Operationally and logistically spearheaded the first Mobile Training Team in the Country of Maldives and first Medical Exchange in Sri Lanka in 2014.

U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina Oct 2007 – Nov 2009 Logistics/Supply Management … Acted as primary link between U.S. Special Operations Command, HQ, U.S. Marine Corps, and several other strategic commands and staffs for planning, coordinating, and provisioning of logistics for training, exercises, operations, and deployments. Represented organization at Functional Needs Analysis Conference and at the Warfighting Support Capability Exercise at Special Operations Command - Europe. Coordinated logistics between multiple organizational commands’ logistical staffs supporting deployed organizational units on logistical issues of mutual interest and concern. Conducted command briefings, as required, and represented the organization at planning meetings. Coordinated logistical support for four subordinate organizations deploying in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. SENIOR PLANNER Headquarters, Multi-National Corps – Iraq Mar 2007 – Sep 2007 Strategic Planning … Produced synchronized plan for combat operations, a process requiring articulate communication skills on different levels, multiple in-depth analyses, and outputs for successful execution while coordinating with lateral organizations. Coordinated and supervised initial installation of 20 security systems for 4 major organizations in support of the organizational Sniper Defeat Program. Cited by supervisors for performance exceeding that of all others equal in rank within the Joint Operations Center and surpassing that of many seniors.
LOGISTICS MANAGER U.S. Marine Corps, Headquarters, Marine Air Control Group 18, Okinawa, Japan Jul 2004 – Mar 2007 Logistics/Supply Management … Supervised the computation, coordination, and management of all logistical support requirements for training exercises and garrison activities and I MAW MAGTF Operations through this time period. Earned perfect score (zero discrepancies) during Fiscal Year 2006 Commander’s inspection. Supervised all subordinate command work requests for entire organization on facilities maintenance and fiscal requirements. Created and spearheaded logistics guidance, policy, and instructions for all exercises both in garrison and outside of Okinawa, Japan. Planned logistical support to humanitarian and disaster relief operations in the wake of the Sumatra Earthquake and Tsunami events in December 2004 as well as support to Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
