RULES & REGULATIONS

1. Availability of Forms: Forms are available online at www.tennistt.info.

2. Entry Fee: $50 per player per Event. Entries are valid only when made on the Official Entry Form and accompanied by the prescribed fee. TATT registration for 2013 is required Submission of Entries: Entries for tournament will only be valid when submitted with payment at the TATT office #5 Fitt Street, Woodbrook, Roy Peters – San Fernando or Dr Dwight Angus, Tobago

3. Deadline: Entries must be submitted by Friday 19th July, 2013 no later than 4:00 pm.

4. Draws: Draws will be made on Monday 22nd July 2013, 5 pm. at the Public Courts. The Qualifying Rounds will begin on Saturday 27th July 2013. Main draws will begin on Monday 29th July, 2013.

5. Entry Eligibility: Entry is restricted to citizens/residents of Trinidad & Tobago. Non-citizens must have been resident in T&T for six (6) months immediately preceding the reference deadline date. University students studying in Trinidad are eligible to play.

6. Venue: The Championships will be played on the King George V Park, POS.

7. Draw Size & Format: Main Draws will be limited to the following sizes: Men’s Singles 32 Ladies’ Singles 32 Veteran’s Singles 32 Mixed Doubles 16 Men’s Doubles 32 Ladies’ Doubles 16 Veteran’s Doubles 16

IMPORTANT NOTE: - players can ONLY participate in a maximum of 3 events. Excess entries will be placed in a Qualifying Draw. For the Men’s Singles, eight (8) Qualifiers; and the Ladies’, four (4). Qualifying round will be best of 3 short sets, no-ad scoring. All main draw ’singles’ will be best of 3 tie-break sets, with no-ad scoring. Doubles: shall be two tie breaks sets, with no-ad scoring and a 10 point match tie break replacing the 3rd set. Play shall continue under lights. Penn balls will be used.

8. Rules: This Competition shall take place in accordance with these Regulations and the Rules of Tennis adopted by the ITF (which includes the ITF Code of Conduct). The referee will determine the appropriate period of rest between matches. For the benefit of new entrants, (and a reminder to older ones) a copy of the Dress Code is outlined below.

9. Submitting an entry to this tournament, a player automatically undertakes to commit him/herself to abide and be bound by the above Rules and Regulations.

10. The Committee reserves the right to amend, repeal, or otherwise modify, in whole, or in part, the above Rules and Regulations.

11. Publication: Every attempt would be made to publish the Order of Play & Results daily on the internet (tennistt.info) and newspapers. It is the players’ responsibility to check the venue or, the referee, for the day’s order of play.

12. Protest: Any protest or complaint must be made in writing, addressed to The Player Representative and submitted within 1hr of the incident.

DRESS CODE

Players shall present themselves for play in a professional manner. Clean and customarily acceptable tennis attire shall be worn. (a) Unacceptable Attire Sweatshirts, gym shorts, dress shirts, basketball attire, beachwear, T- shirts or any other inappropriate attire shall not be worn during a match. No other sponsor marks or insignia will be allowed in match play. (b) Doubles Teams Members of a Doubles team shall be dressed in substantially the same color with no cross dressing. PLAYERS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN REPRESENTING TRINIDAD & TOBAGO ARE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SINGLES EVENTS IN THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS, TO BE CONSIDERED FOR SELECTION.
