‘ over the last decade some of
our most endangered
mammal species have bounced

to decline’

This year’s State of Britain's Mammals report shows the past decade has held mixed results for some of our most distinctive species but conservationists are hopeful that past successes can guide future efforts.
Task I have a soft spot for mammals so your summer task is to research and produce an A4 information sheet on: one British mammal species that has been a success story and one British mammal species that still needs help.
Your information must include the following:
Description of the species (including the Latin name)
Distribution of the species
The species habitat
Background details and history of the species
Conservation status and the threats that the species faced or faces
Conservation methods that have been used / will be used
Fully reference your work
Species choice:
Good news: Bad News:
Otter Hedgehog
Horseshoe Bat Scottish Wild cat
Water Vole Red Squirrel
