This scheme is not designed to provide funds for projects that constitute the topic for an applicant’s research higher degree thesis. If answering yes, outline (i) how the project is clearly different from the research degree project and (ii) how and why the progress of the degree will not be affected by taking on the additional work outlined in this application.

Investigate innovative assessment, e-assessment and feedback practices, especially for large classes. Increase the flexibility of modes of study. Increase active learning for an enriched campus experience for students. Deepen our understanding of data about learner activities and stimulate development of learning analytic tools that support research on student learning and retention. Expanding the adoption of existing tools.

SECTION C: PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The response to section C – Project Description and section D – Project Value should not exceed a combined total of eight (8) A4 pages. The response must be in the required format of 11 point font. The bullet points under each sub-section provide guidance on the information to include and can be deleted after reading. If a sub-section is not relevant for your application, then please remove it.

C1. PROJECT RATIONALE AND OUTCOMES  Refer to Assessment Criterion 1 in the UQ ECER Grants Application Guidelines 2017.

C2. PROJECT APPROACH AND TIMELINE  Refer to Assessment Criterion 2 in the UQ ECER Grants Application Guidelines 2017. The timeline should include project stages, major tasks or activities and milestones.

C3. PROJECT EVALUATION  Refer to Assessment Criterion 3 in the UQ ECER Grants Application Guidelines 2017. Provide an evaluation strategy that is aligned to the scale, scope and timeframe for the project and identify how project success will be demonstrated.

C4. PROJECT IMPACT AND DISSEMINATION  Refer to Assessment Criterion 4 in the UQ ECER Grants Application Guidelines 2017.

C5. PROJECT COLLABORATION  Refer to Assessment Criterion 5 in the UQ ECER Grants Application Guidelines 2017. Identify areas either within your own discipline or across other disciplines that are affected by the issue to be addressed.

C6. PROJECT REFERENCES AND CITATIONS  Include references and citations as evidence to substantiate critical assertions in the project argument – not to exceed one page in the format of the primary discipline journal of your field.

C7. PROJECT PROTOTYPES, WORKING CODE AND OTHER ACTIONABLE OBJECTS  Provide URL links (if relevant).

C8. PROJECT PILOT  Provide URL links to evaluation reports if a pilot has previously been conducted.

C9. PROJECT CONSULTATION  Provide a summary of consultations including ITS, ITaLI, educational designer/s, Library and the ‘pitch your ideas’ session. Use the following format: Name – role – date of consultation.

SECTION D: PROJECT VALUE

Reminder: Section C – Project Description and section D – Project Value combined should not exceed eight (8) A4 pages. D1. BUDGET DETAILS Refer to section 4.2 in the UQ ECER Grants Application Guidelines 2017. Budgets must be prepared using the budget template available below. Once the budget template is complete, embed it in this application form. Instructions on how to embed an Excel chart in Word are included in the budget template.

D2. JUSTIFICATION OF FUNDING REQUESTED In no more than half an A4 page, fully justify in terms of need and cost each budget item requested. Structure your budget justification under the same headings used in the table above.
