Weekly Assignments lunes:

 Review of the verb Ir.(Discussion questions: is ir regular or irregular? what is the difference between a regular and irregular verb? what other irregular verbs do you know and what are their conjugations?) Pg. 180 in textbook – Take notes as discussed.

 Question word discussion – Take a look at the question words on page 184. What do all of these words have in common? (There is more than one right answer).

 Missing the mark activity. Do this activity individually, and then go over it as a class.

 Question Word Review-flashcards, who has the match activity. Each student in class will receive 1 card. This card will have either a Spanish question word, or its English translation. Don’t show your card to anyone else. The teacher will tell you when you when to go. The goal is to not be the last one standing. Once you find your match, sit down with your partner. The last two standing will be put on the spot. They will have to go to each group, say both the English and Spanish matches out loud and decide if the match is correct. If time allows, you can mix up all of the cards and go through it again. martes:

 Spanish questions/responses: Asking common questions and responding to them in Spanish is quite easy. It just requires a little memorization work and practice using them. Look at the Question Words and Responses Handout. First, Circle the question words in each sentence. Second, Go through each of the questions, and practice saying them aloud. Third, look at the responses, try to match as many responses as you can. Go over these as a class.

 Log in to Quia and take the Matching Question-Response Quiz. This is a daily grade.

 In Quia, do the Irregular verb review quiz. This will include questions from the discussion on Monday. This is a daily grade. miércoles:

 Make a list of the question words from page 184. Leave some space for each one. As you watch the videos below, write at least one question for each of the 11 questions. You may write them in English first and then take a few minutes to translate them into Spanish. Be sure to include the answer in Spanish and English as well on a separate sheet of paper. These will be used in an activity tomorrow.

 Exchange your questions with a partner. You will then try to translate and answer each of your partner’s questions. They can then check your answers with their answer sheet. viernes:

Activity 1: Memory

Materials – Question word flash cards

Directions – Turn all of the flashcards facedown. Turn over one card first then another, if they match, keep going. If they are not a match turn them facedown again. Then, the next person will take a turn.

Activity 2: Common Question Words/Responses

 One person in the group will start by asking questions from the common question handout. The other members will then use the response page to answer the question. The first person to answer the question then gets to ask the next question.
