“Theatre Inside & Outside the Box”

Lansing's Renegade Theatre Festival is seeking three dependable and forward- thinking college students for Internship positions. These positions begin Monday, May 5, 2014 and work through the Festival which takes place August 14, 15 and 16, 2014 in Lansing’s Old Town. We are searching for:

1) Education Intern-- Seeking a college student interested in preparing, scheduling and facilitating educational programming, in collaboration with area family theatres, for the Renegade Theatre Festival. With support from the Renegade staff and planning team, this participant would schedule/create unique programming that enhances the theatre for young audiences at this festival, as well as coordinating the Renegade KIDS program on Saturday, August 16th, 2014.

2) Communications Intern-- Seeking a college student with communications, web and graphic design capabilities to work with the Renegade Festival planning team. This person would also assist with other Festival administrating and planning. This position would require from 5 to 10 hours a week and consist of work in some programming and publicity needs for the festival, as well as participating in the 3 day Festival, August 14, 15 and 16th, 2014.

3. ) Marketing Intern- Seeking a college student with marketing and public relations skills to work with the Renegade Festival planning team. This person would also assist with other Festival administrating and planning. This position would require from 5 to 10 hours a week and consist of work in some Media & publicity needs for the festival, as well as participating in the 3 day Festival, August 14, 15 and 16th, 2014.

These positions are unpaid but will enhance a student’s resume. These positions work with the Renegade staff members during the spring (position beginning about May 5th, as Festival needs arise) and throughout the summer to create a unique experience that enhances the student's education. If desired, these positions also allow time for Interns to participate as performers or producers in the Festival.
