[502-2] 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A BILL 10 11 TO AMEND SECTION 502330, AS AMENDED, CODE OF 12 LAW OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO 13 EXEMPTIONS FROM THE REQUIREMENT THAT 14 WATERCRAFT AND OUTBOARD MOTORS BE TITLED, SO 15 AS TO EXEMPT SAILBOATS WITHOUT MOTORIZED 16 PROPULSION NOT MORE THAN FOURTEEN FEET IN 17 LENGTH FROM THE TITLING REQUIREMENT. 18 19 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South 20 Carolina: 21 22 SECTION 1. Section 502330 of the 1976 Code, as last amended 23 by Act 344 of 2008, is further amended to read: 24 25 “Section 502330. Watercraft documented by the United States 26 Coast Guard or its predecessor or successor agency and water skis, 27 aquaplanes, surfboards, windsurfers, and similar devices, sailboats 28 without motorized propulsion not more than fourteen feet in 29 length, and those watercraft propelled exclusively by human power 30 are not required to be titled.” 31 32 SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the 33 Governor. 34 XX 35
