NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Inter-Club Council met, commencing at 9:38 A.M. on Monday April 8, 2013 in Room 851-MVC, and Room 1111-SJC. The starting time listed for the meeting is approximate. Public testimony will be invited in conjunction with discussion on each item.

II. ICC Club Reports & Information A. ICC President A.i. Kesia- absent. Corrine Rutledge covering. B. ICC Club Reps i. Challenge- The “Myths of Islam” event co-hosted with the Political Science Club went very well. ii. Asian and Pacific Islanders Club- gaming tournament on April 5 moved to April 19 from 2 p.m.- 6 p.m. in room 407. The tournament will consist of X-box games for those competing with suggested donations of $5 per player. There will be a 20 minute warm up period at the start of each game. Games to be played are Soul Caliber, Tekken 6, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. iii. Psychology Club- the club will be holding a movie night on April 11 at 3:30 p.m. in room 600 on the MVC. The movie to be viewed is “Girl Interrupted,” and snacks will be provided. The club will hold a Mother’s Day findraiser drawing with tickets more information to come. The club also has new officers and is currently drafting a new charter. iv. Menifee S.T.E.M.- Robotics demonstration and Eric Blood’s lecture went very well. The main room was filled and the overflow room was packed. The club sold many snacks at the events. v. Anthropology- May 5, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. the club will be going to the Ren Faire in Escondido. April 29 Pam Ford will be speaking in room 1211 from 3 p.m.-4 p.m. on archeology. The car wash on April 20 has had a location change and will possible have possibly have a date change. vi. The Talon- New deadline for anyone to add to the paper is May 6, and the issue will be out before graduation. Any clubs that wish to add to club profiles, event information, calendar events, etc. can email the talon at [email protected] vii. SWANS- Saturday April 13 the club will be at the H.O.P.E. in Elsinore from 5 a.m.-8:30 a.m. to hand out food to people in need. On April 21 the club will be at the Valley Restart center to serve breakfast to people in need from 6 a.m.- 9 a.m. the center is located on the corner of Menlo and State. The ”Project Touch” collection bin is located in room 516 on the MVC, and the club is looking for personal products such as, shampoo, shaving cream, etc. Inter-Club Council MT. viii. Heart of Art-the club will be promoting a student art show in the gallery. The time of the event is to be announced. The club is currently working on t-shirt designs, and brainstorming for fundraising ideas. ix. San Jacinto S.T.E.M.- The Applebee’s breakfast will be on April 21 from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. at the Applebee’s on the corner of Kirby and Florida. x. Phi Theta Kappa- Saturday April 27 starting at 9 a.m. and going all day the club will be participating in an academic decathlon in room 600 on the MVC. April 28 will be the clubs induction ceremony on the SJC. May 18 the club will be participating in the Relay for Life. The groups name is Purple Trumps Cancer Battle Defense Officers and all participation is encouraged through donations or relay participations. xi. Care Club – The Spring Festival with BSU went well. The club had Easter eggs hunts, kids games, and a potluck. The club took many photos and encourages personal photos to be posted to the schools website. xii. Ceramics Club- May 8 and 9 in front of the LRC from 9 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. on the MVC the club will be holding a Mother’s Day fundraiser selling ceramics. xiii. Communications Club- April 16 there will be a gentleman from s toastmasters group coming out to speak during college hour on the MVC in room 927. All are encouraged to come. C. ICC Advisor Reports C.i. Nathan Brais- There are only two more meeting left this semester. The next one will be held on April 22, and the final one will be held on May 13. All clubs are encouraged to submit new club officer info for the Fall semester in time for the last meeting this semester. The SGA will be holding the BBQs on April 16 and 18 during college hour. The theme is Earth Day, so the SGA will have an e-waste company collecting old electronics. This is anything from an old computer to a cord for an old cell phone. The vendor will be near the SGA table on the MVC and near the library on the SJC. All electronics will be accepted and the profits will go towards the SGA for future events. All clubs are also encouraged to design activities or table decorations around Earth Day as well. May 7 and 9 will be a “Dunk the Professors” event at the BBQs. Any students with a professor in mind should email Nathan for more information. On April 9 and 11 from 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m. there will be a “Four Pillars of Success” event with a successful student from Brandman University speaking on how to become a master student. The event will be on in room 409 on the MVC on April 9 and in room 1301 on SJC on April 11. The SGA elections are coming up on April 22-25. Each club is encouraged to come up with 6 photos from club events with a quick write up (about a sentence or so) to describe the event taking place. The clubs also should start compiling their community service hours. These include four categories: club events, fundraisers, and activities; club community service; club meetings; and any other event with two or more representatives. These lists should be finished by May 13 in order to attempt to reach the 50 thousand hour goal. D. SGA Support Specialist Reports D.i. Sandi Uhrig-

III. Public Comment This time is reserved for members of the public to address the Inter-Club Council on issues not already appearing on the agenda. A limit of 5 minutes per speaker and 20 minutes per topic shall be enforced.
