Biochemical Engineering University of Georgia
Program Constituencies
Constituencies or stakeholders who have a direct interaction with and participate in the BS Biochemical Engineering (BChE) program are:
Students (intended-majors, BSBChE majors and alumni), Employers of BSBChE graduates, Biochemical Engineering Faculty, Biochemical Engineering Graduate Students and Staff, and The UGA Engineering Advisory Board.
These groups are an inherent part of the program’s function and rationale for its existence.
Indirect constituencies, who are affected by the performance of the BSBChE program, provide the framework of policies and constraints in which the program must operate and influence the direction of the University’s engineering programs. These constituents include:
The University community, The citizens of Georgia, Students’ parents/families, Board of Professional Engineers ABET, and Various Professional Societies.
While indirect constituents are less likely to have a direct effect on the ongoing operations and the outcomes of the program, they are considered important when assessing and redesigning the BSBChE program.
