Create your own magazine

You have 8 weeks to plan, design, write, edit and put together your own new magazine. You must do tasks 1, 2 and 3 AND Choose at least three other tasks from 4-7 to complete.

When you have finished, attach all your work together so it looks like a real magazine. You may either hand write your magazine OR use the computer. However, if you want to use the computer, you must be able to print your work yourself.

DO NOT COPY AND PASTE any writing from the internet or fill your magazine with too many pictures (maximum 2 per page). I am assessing you on your writing skills.

 Your project is going to contain 6 pieces of writing. The first 3 tasks are compulsory. The next 3 tasks you may choose from the options given. If you do extra pieces of writing for your magazine you will receive extra bonus points.

 Below you will find a timetable of when each section is due. If you are late handing any section in you will lose points.  There will be NO extensions except for circumstances that I have confirmed prior.

In between these dates you may show me your work for guidance. After you have completed each section I will keep it in a file until you are ready to put your entire magazine together.

 I have included a worksheet below “Researching and planning my magazine”. This is the first part of your project. You may not carry on with the next sections until I have seen this and confirmed it.

This is a fun and exciting project which you can really show your own interests. I hope you enjoy.
