Activity Action 1. Treasurer's Report (Reid)  Balance $3,617  Not including final receipts: fuel, food, rental and other supplies for Jonathan Update Dickinson trip  Also not including payments for trip that were pending  Biggest deposit t-shirt sales and SunLife 2. FBA @ FIU (Stephanie Guerra)  Jezzebel and Santiago are there the most, but after November they got busy because of school Discussion/Update  Maybe we can pull them in January for the Winter Dinner  Kimberly and Stephanie to be in charge of the ballrooms for Winter Dinner 3. Alumni Day @ Paul Bell (Reid)  Postponed due to remodeling of auditorium  Plan for a February/March date  Weekday when kids are at school, getting former PB students to talk to the students about preparedness and reflections of time at PB and how they got Update to where they are now (obstacles and successes)  Next step to start recruiting former PB alumni to find out if they are available for this date  Workshop style so students can choose which speaker to go with 4. SunLife Project (Abner)  Made over $600 that day that we did go  Lack of support so we had to be cut out this year  Still have the possibility to do it next season, but have a set group of people Reflection  Recognize that their rules are strict and must be followed accordingly  Uniforms have to be returned  Abner will touch base with them in July for the 2016 season and 1 person as contact and 2 or 3 people for coordination 5. Winter Dinner (Salome & Kimberly) Updates  Decorations are set and fundraised $198 from pizza cards  Another fundraiser they will do is selling candy canes  Prizes – i. If they buy 10 tickets get discount ii. Volunteers, if they sell 10 tickets their ticket is free iii. Middle School prize raise to $15 presale, $30 at the door (also after Jan. 10)  Table cloths for lobby (provided by FIU)  Ticket table, t-shirt table, ADVENTravel table, volunteer table  FBA trivia winner table will get a prize  Buffet table – 6 tables (looking for menu items – Salome filled an application with Pollo Tropical, fruit/cookies/cheesecake/cake buying, chocolate fountain donated by Adriana)  Kimberly will present companies that have donated to FBA  Jeremie and Elise to host Winter Dinner  Mask required, formal  Try to sell tickets to adult/high school students so that middle school students can purchase later Break (move on to Board Meeting) 1. LC Meeting recap (Jenny) Summary 2. ADVENTravel Fall Jonathan Dickinson (all participants)  Bonding with the kids Update  Good to keep for future location 3. ADVENTravel – Boston 2016 (Reid & Jeremie)  $850 per person  Leads on volunteer project there, once we get closer to the date, through the hostel they can set something up  So far booked for 2 hostels Update  Need flyers from Jeremie, next week  First deposits due (about $280), maybe January  Camping trip money ($140) will go towards Boston  Cancellation is 30 days prior  Need about 15 people minimum for this to happen 4. Bayfront Park (Jenny & Jeremie)  Jeremie went to Board of Trustees meeting for Bayfront Park gave us certificate showing appreciation  Commissioner Corrollo invited FBA to a City of Miami and gave us another commendation certificate  Need to be on watch for volunteers to make sure they are helping with work Update and not doing anything and still getting hours  Elise will present to her BNI group and for Islander Newspaper (Key Biscayne)  Need to find a better way for allocating the different activities/materials  Very successful events  Next days: January 30th and February 13th and then commit to 2nd Saturday of every month 5. Class of 2006 reunion – BHS (Jenny) Discussion/Vote  Jenny was approached by Karissa Lopez and recommended FBA to help with this reunion  Instead of completely being involved from beginning to end, idea to broker a deal wherever they want and supplying vendor lists from the ones we used last year and for them to also provide a donation to FBA (help where needed, but not entirely plan the event)  Goal to make about $1500 because they may have a lower turnout  Keep emails of students involved to add them to newsletter list serve 6. FBA T-Shirt 2016 – Rollout (Jeremie)  Goal to have everything done before Winter Dinner  Rolling out design and ordering dry-fit in time Update  If design is done, they can order some here and then for next order go through China End at 1:49pm
