My Mother

My mother is an amazing woman. She has five daughters, three granddaughters, a God- son, and a grandson. She works at Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart as a CNA, and she has been a CNA for almost thirty years. She enjoys taking care of people who cannot take care of themselves. She is a member of True Gospel Holiness Church where she is treasurer and serves on the usher board. All of her daughters still live with her, except for one. She spoils us all and makes sure that we all have that we need. She is the greatest mother, grandmother, and friend anyone could have and is greatly appreciated and loved by everyone who knows her.

My mother loves to help people as much as she possibly can. If anyone comes to her for help, she will do her best to help them. No matter who someone is or if she knows the person or not, she is always willing to help. She is always there for the ones who need her. She gives great advice and is not judgmental. She treats everyone with respect and kindness. She always puts her family’s needs before her own and ensures that everyone has what is needed. She makes it her responsibility to take care of her loved ones. When someone in our family has an issue, my mother makes it her mission to help him or her resolve the issue the best she can. If my mother cannot help someone, she prays to God for the person’s well-being. She is very empathetic and feels others’ pain when they are in a bad situation. I have never known a more loving and respected person than my mother. She is loyal to all of her friends and helps them when they have nowhere else to turn. My mother has let her friends live with us when they had no place to go. No one could ask for a better friend.

My mother is not only a loyal friend and an awesome grandmother, but above all she is the best mother and is a great role model. I hope to grow up to be as wonderful as my mother. Victoria Mullins 2 May 18, 2010

She does not let little things get to her. She does not try to get revenge on the ones who have wronged her; instead she prays for them and shows them love. If it were not for my mother, I couldn’t image the type of person I would be or the situation I would be in. My mother encourages me to stay strong and always keeps me thinking positive. She always knows how to get my spirits up when I feel that I cannot keep going. When my sisters and I do crazy things and make bad decisions, our mother is always there for us through the thick and thin. She never judges us and helps us through all of our problems. My mother’s dream has always been to become a nurse, but she never had the support she needed to continue on and complete school.

Now she gives me the support that she needed and helps me to stay strong and positive about school.

My mother is my heart and my world. She is the most amazing woman I have ever known. People come up to me every day to tell me how sweet my mother is and how much they love her. It always puts a smile on my face when they say that I remind them of her. I’m glad to know that some of her great personality has rubbed off onto me. I could never repay her for everything that she has done for me. She worked long hours so that my sisters and I could eat, giving up on her dreams to support our dreams. I thank God for giving me such a wonderful mother. It’s great to know that my mother’s arms are always open if I need a hug; her ears are always open if I have an issue; and her shoulder is always there if I need someone to lean on. I know that my mother is always there when I need her.
