EN 61326-1:1997 + A1 1998 Clause 6 - Immunity Test Plan Details (ATTACHMENT)

Performance Criteria This section details the system’s performance, what parameters are to be monitored, how to measure them and what limits are acceptable. It is the customers responsibility to provide all equipment necessary for verifying the system’s performance, unless prior arrangements have been made with your TÜV Product Service Representative.

Performance Criteria “A” The performance of the EUT shall remain within the specified operating tolerances. Please describe EUT operation for performance criteria “A”.

Performance Criteria “B” Out-of-tolerance performance is permitted while the EUT is subjected to the applied interference. This is only allowed provided that: 1) the performance returns to normal when the interference is removed; and 2) there is no change of operating state or loss of stored data. Please describe EUT operation for performance criteria “B”.

Performance Criteria “C” The EUT may experience a temporary loss of function and operator intervention is permitted. However, the EUT can not be damaged. Please describe EUT operation for performance criteria “C”.

Performance Criteria “D” Non-recoverable degradation – The EUT is damaged. Please describe EUT operation for performance criteria “D”.

Note 1: TBD = Test level to be determined by manufacturer . Note 2: For industrial locations and controled EM environments, DC connections between parts of equipment/system which are not connected to a d.c. distribution network are treated as I/O signal/control ports. Note 3: For I/O cables where the manufacturer specifies that shielded cables must be used, Conducted Immunity testing is not required. Note 4: Applicable only to magnetically sensitive equipment. CRT display interference is allowed above 1 A/m. Note 5: Performance Criteria A is the recommended choice for all phenomena and all tests. However, Performance Criteria B and/or C may be accepted provided that both the specification and the test report highlight such deviation(s) for the relevant combination(s) of function and test. (Refer to the Table below for guidance in determining the appropriate Performance Criteria.)
