1. Updates

PLS  New website is now up http://plsqld.com/  Currently completing a prisoners handbook for use by service providers and family members  Please submit a brief paragraph on your service to be included in the handbook to Kobie - [email protected]  Have had a casework win under JR  Northern tour went well. Lots of complaints about food, health and getting to the prison farms  PLS Newsletter was banned for printing information on changes to the corrective service act.

LEGAL AID – First Advise Contact Team & Women’s Legal Aid  Free community legal line is operating in all prisons  Doing lots of face to face contacts and video link ups

CEA – Career Employment Australia  Service is going well  New database is and run

1 PRISON MENTAL HEALTH TEAM  Numbers are dramatically increasing  Funding for transitional management has been put on hold

HEP C COUNCIL  Have had an access increase  Picnic in the Park – 20 December 2006

KAIROS  Have received accreditation  Will find out in Dec 07 which prison the program will be run in

SISTERS INSIDE  Is prison Obsolete Conference in Darwin 28, 29 30 June 2007  Limited access for workers

STATE INCORRECTIONS NETWORK  Community Forum in Gatton this Thursday
