Subject: MINUTES OF THE PRE LOG MEETING HELD ON 6-04-2011

Consequence upon the outcome of the above said meeting, please find attached minutes of the meeting along with the working groups for preparation of concept papers as well as PC-Is in the areas mentioned against each group. Each group has been given priority area after series of meetings. Convener for each group has been identified. Considering these priority areas as broader goal / objective, you are requested to please come up with concept papers / PC-I on the topics under these priority areas according to the schedule mentioned in the minutes of the meeting.

MINUTES OF THE PRE LOG MEETING HELD ON 6-04-2011

The meeting started with the recitation of Holy Quran at 9.00 am in the committee room of livestock complex. The pre log meeting/workshop was divided into two sessions. The first session from 9.00am to 2.00pm was chaired by the Director General (Ext.) L&DD, and the second session from 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm was chaired by the Secretary, Govt. of the Punjab, L&DD. List of the participants is attached.

At the start of the first session, Director (P&E) reviewed some salient points from the previous meeting held on 12.02.2011 for the convenience of the participants. Priority areas discussed by the house during the previous meeting were discussed and they were asked to give 5 key elements as priority areas. The participants were asked one by one to explain their proposals regarding the priority areas for the project preparation for the ADP 2011-12.

During the second session of the meeting, the Director P&E Cell briefed the Secretary, L&DD about areas identified in the first session. Secretary Livestock observed as follows;

 Priority areas identified during the meeting  There should be proper utilization of existing resources in sector development  Areas identified need to be collaborated with the private sector  Modalities regarding how to implement the ideas/ interventions and who will lead the projects  Vehicle identification as who would be the partner while doing the job, whether academia or private stakeholders, etc.

The Secretary, L&DD in his concluding remarks directed as follows:

 Concept Papers after prioritization of the areas identified during the meeting should be submitted up to 15-04-2011  Draft PC-1s should be prepared up to 30-04-2011  PC-1s of the projects should be submitted to the P&D Department, Govt. of the Punjab, Lahore by 15-05-2011
