RULES FOR YOU AND YOUR NEW PUPPY

A new puppy will be nervous.

A new puppy will need 20 minutes of play and 2 hours of rest (this is a MUST)

Your puppy must have fresh water and food available at ALL TIMES to keep their sugar at regular levels. Even in the crate they MUST have food in their crate. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.

A new puppy SHOULD receive Nutrical 2-4 times a day for the first week or two. – pea size amount on their tongue or let them lick it off your finger. (pick up at any petstore)

Do NOT let your vet do too many things to your puppy at once. Call me if you are UNSURE.

Your puppies next vaccine date is on ______. First vet check – fecal sample, start heart worm and flea treatment and health check up. ______. No other vaccinations or treatments at this time.

Your puppy is on ______Nutrisource Small-Medium breed puppy! and should remain on this food for at least two weeks. After this period if you should want to switch your puppy to another 5 Star rating food, please do it 10/90, 20/80 etc over a week or two time frame.

REMEMBER: Your new puppy is just like bringing a newborn home. He/she will need you to monitor the amount of food they are eating, by counting kibble. Put hot water over your puppies food Morning and Night. Do NOT let the puppy go if you are NOT seeing it eat.

Make sure your puppy is not near a draft. It’s temp is 102, but if they get cold they will stop eating. Feel their ears or roof of their mouth to see if they are cold.

Leave your puppies pad in a general area where the puppy is at. This will give your puppy a head start on completing their pad training in your home.

Your new puppy should NOT be left alone for more than an hour or two over the first two weeks. You can’t expect your puppy to hold their bladder for no more than 2 hours. (rule is 1 hour for each month they are)

NO LEPTO VACCINE EVER NO BORDETELLA VACCINES. Look up the dangers of these vaccines in tiny breed puppies. You must tell your vet repeatedly not to do the lepto vaccine. Should you choose to administer the lepto vaccine it can cause seizures and death. We are not responsible. BORDETELLA IS NOT REQUIRED FOR PETS! Your vet will not replace your pet and we are not responsible for any vaccine reactions at anytime.
