The VanLandingham Rotary Club is busy preparing for our 16th Annual Auction to be held February 28, 2010. Since its inception this communitywide event has raised over $900,000.00 to benefit various Lowcountry children’s charities. We thank you for your previous support of this event and the community we live in.

Auction 2010 will once again be televised live on WTOC Channel 11, our local CBS affiliate with bidding prior to and simultaneous with the event on the internet at www.vlrauction.com.

Our primary beneficiary remains The Children’s Center, which provides day care and childhood education for low income families in need. The VanLandingham Rotary Club has funded to date $300,000.00 of our $350,000.00 commitment for their NEW facility, currently under construction on Natures Way by Jarvis Creek Park.

Please help us extinguish our remaining commitment to The Children’s Center this year! This event is a win- win for donors and bidders alike. Enclosed you will find an auction certificate and self addressed envelope. Please completely fill out the certificate, retain the pink copy for your records, and return the white and yellow copies in the enclosed envelope. The Rotarian that solicited your prior contribution will be calling you within the next few weeks should you have any questions or have an item that requires pickup.

The success of this event has always been due to our community’s participation. Your support has enabled us to respond to more than $900,000.00 of funding requests from worthy local charities.
