“Pleasure Beach” Aggregate Cup. The award goes to Team / Club that gains the most points throughout the competitions. Points made up from: 20 points for 1st place; 15 points for 2nd place; 10 points for 3rd place; 8 points for 4th place; 6 points for 5th place; 5 points for 6th place; 4 points for 7th place; 3 points for 8th place; 2 points for 9th place and 1 point to the 10th place ADULT SINGLE PRE-BRONZE

Skaters must not hold level 5 elements or free or equivalent . A competitor in the Adult Pre-Bronze Free Skating event must perform a well-balanced program that must contain: a. A maximum of four (4) jump elements. Only single jumps are permitted, no Axel type jump, no double or triple jumps and no Lutz can be included. No jump combinations or sequences are allowed. No listed jump may be repeated more than once within a programme. Non-listed jumps may be included in the program as part of connecting footwork only. b. A maximum of two (2) basic position spin with NO change of position and NO change of foot. The spins must have a minimum of 3 revolutions. Flying spins are not permitted. There must be a minimum of two (2) revolutions in each position or the position will not be counted. b. A maximum of one choreographic-step sequence (i.e., circular, straight line, serpentine) or choreographic-spiral sequence covering at least 50% of the usual pattern (e.g. half a serpentine, half of a straight line etc.) In case of a circular step sequence a full circle is required covering ½ the width of the ice surface To be counted a spiral sequence must include at least two (2) spiral positions of not less than 3 seconds each or one (1) spiral position not less than 6 seconds long. Only the first executed attempt of a choreographic-step sequence or choreographic-spiral sequence will contribute to the technical score. Additional spiral sequences and step sequences will not be counted as a step sequence but will be counted as moves-in-the field (transitions) and marked as such. Duration: The maximum time is 1:40 seconds, but may be less (The preferred programme length is 1 minute and 30 seconds)

There may be up to three jump combinations or jump sequences in the Free Program. One jump combination could consist of up to three (3) listed jumps, the other two up to two (2) listed jumps. A jump sequence may consist of any number of single jumps that may be linked by non-listed jumps like mazurkas, etc. and/or hops immediately following each other while maintaining the jump rhythm (knee); there can be no turns/steps, crossovers or stroking during the sequence. However, only the two jumps with the highest value will count. Please note that a half-loop in combination with any other listed jump will result in a jump combination. Any solo jump can be repeated only once and this repetition must be done either in a jump combination or in a jump sequence. Non-lised jumps may be included in the program as part of connecting footwork, preceding single or double jumps. b. There may be up to three jump combinations or jump sequences in the Free Program. One jump combination could consist of up to three (3) listed jumps, the other two up to two (2) listed jumps. A jump sequence may consist of any number of single jumps that may be linked by non-listed jumps like mazurkas, etc. and/or hops immediately following each other while maintaining the jump rhythm (knee); there can be no turns/steps, crossovers or stroking during the sequence. The competition will be held on the 3rd – 7th April 2018

RULES

 The competitions are open to all fully paid up eligible skaters as defined by the National Ice Skating Association of UK Ltd and will be held under NISA regulations and permit (Applied for). All levels will be judged under the International Judging System. Please check NISA website for any amendments to Generic Criteria.

 All technical requirements are National tests with the exception of competitive tests where appropriate, and are exactly as per NISA generic programme requirements 2017/2018.

 Entries to all competitions will be treated on a first received basis with a limit to entries in each section determined by time available. Reserve lists will operate until the draw for entries to oversubscribed sections, also on a first received basis. Qualifying date for age is as at closing.

 Skaters in all levels must complete the programme content sheet attached to the entry form. This should be filled in using the shorthand as stated on the form, with the timings of each element filled in, signed and dated. This form must be sent with the entry form and entries CANNOT be accepted without it.

 Entry forms not giving coach membership details or details of seminars will be returned to skaters without being accepted. All coaches signing paperwork for entry to this event must have completed a Field Moves seminar and also attended a discipline specific IJS seminar, which must have been within 12 months of the event. Coaches not mentioned on the entry form will not under any circumstances be issued with an accreditation.

 Levels in all events must be attained by the closing date of the competitions. The national standards will be strictly adhered to. If the standard of a skater should change before the closing date, notification to the competition organiser is required immediately.

 Pleasure Beach Arena reserves the right:

 to refuse entries without reason assigned

 to cancel, combine or split competitions into subsections.

 to retain the right of decision on all matters, their decision being final.

 Competitions with only one competitor may require to skate to standard and will be at the discretion of the referee. Skaters in this situation will be informed and given the opportunity to withdraw.

 A photocopy of the Skate UK passport must be supplied with entry for all Beginner competitions who have not achieved NISA Level 1 Field Moves.

 Refunds will be made to all competitors not offered entry.

 Entry fees are not refundable after the closing date, 23rd February 2018.

 Entries accompanied by a cheque that bounces will not be accepted until the entry fee is paid in cash or debit card together with an excess fee of £10 to cover bank charges.  Pleasure Beach Arena cannot accept any responsibility for any damage or loss of personal property.

 ENTRIES WILL NOT BE COLLECTED FROM THE POST OFFICE DUE TO A LACK OF POSTAGE.  NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. Proof of postage does not imply receipt.

 The time and date of the draw will be advertised on the Arena website – www.pleasurebeacharena.co.uk

 All skaters will be filmed for IJS

 The competition may be subject to doping control under NISA rules and by the ISU.

 Music for programmes will be accepted on CD. All music must be clearly marked with competitors name and class. It is advisable that you have a spare disc with you.

 Competition dates and timetabling will be verified after the closing date following consultation with the Referee. A timetable will be posted on the club website: www.pleasurebeacharena.co.uk as soon as it becomes available.

 Winners of competitions will be required to sign for trophies (or parent/guardian), which are held at winner’s responsibility. They must be returned to Pleasure Beach Arena one calendar month or on request before Blackpool Skating Festival 2018 in good condition.

 The throwing of teddies / soft toys / artificial flowers will be permitted in certain areas.

 Vocal music is allowed in all events included in Blackpool skating festival.
