ACA SPOT Rally

ACA SPOT Rally Viroqua, Wisconsin 1 Aug-??

We have a SPOT and we invite you to join us in beautiful Viroqua, Wisconsin (immediately following the FMCA rally in Madison). Viroqua is in the heart of the Wisconsin Amish country and central to some of the most scenic and picturesque areas of Wisconsin. You could visit here on your own at any time, but at this particular time you will have personal tour guides. We will have plenty of maps and lots of suggestions for ways to get the most out of your visit. This will be a very informal rally . . . no schedule, no meetings, no caterer . . . just lots of relaxing and fun and camaraderie.

There are electric hookups throughout the fairgrounds (some 30amp, some 50 amp) and water and a dump station are available (just not at your site). The daily rate is $25 and the weekly rate $150. We are suggesting you arrive on the 1st of August and determine your own length of stay. We will be there for at least a week. We cannot reserve spaces at the fairgrounds, but some sites are more centrally located to our rally area than others, so we will treat them as first come, first served based on the order we receive your email or phone call telling us that you will attend. All activities and camping fees will be pay as you go.

Some suggested activities:  Saturday Morning Farmers’ Market in downtown Viroqua  Visits to Amish families to purchase baskets, maple syrup, furniture, toys, rugs, etc.  A round or two of golf at the local course  Visits to cheese factories  Amish produce auction  A visit to the local apple orchards  A scenic trip to the locks on the Mississippi River  Friday night fish fry at a local bar  A walk over to the local Culver’s for frozen custard and butter burgers  Daily happy hour to discuss the day’s experiences and plans for the next day  A pot luck or two or more (as decided at happy hour)  A day trip to House on the Rock  Shopping in Viroqua, a beautiful Main Street City  Etc.

We would love to show you around this corner of Wisconsin . . . the place where Dean grew up and that Jan grew to love. So, if you want to join us, just let us know by 1 July or sooner so that we can reserve your spot and make sure we have enough maps and brochures for everyone.
