ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

2. Minutes of the last meeting March 2013 These were accepted as an accurate record

3. Matters arising from the minutes of the last meeting It was agree that un-adopted draft minutes to be added to the website ahead of meetings

4. Adoption of accounts and Treasurer’s Report Chris Sonnex presented the Society accounts and the Treasurer’s report on behalf of Suha Deen. These were accepted – proposed Jennifer Yell, seconded Fabia Brackenbury

5. Education and training subgroup update Webpage updated. A proposal was received to provide some training materials for nurses in care of vulval disease. DN to be asked to explore this possibility

6. Following on from one of the work streams of Education and Training subgroup, a new group called Clinical Standards Unit has been formed. This will be is about to be launched by DM

7. Update patient support groups

Fabia Brackenbury provided an overview of the group’s activity over the past year. She visited Libby Edwards in USA this year and was interviewed on US television. Successful Vulvuary campaign and winning poster was networked widely over the US by USA dermatologist, Lynnette Margesson. Busy stand at the RCGP. FB is a member of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Skin and has written to the Under Secretary of State, regarding the lack of education about children with LS, amongst doctors, resulting in them growing up without their vulval architecture. Internet radio station Radio Vulva Health not continued due to lack of funding. Her organization achieved charitable status via the Inland Revenue for tax purposes and aims to proceed to registration with the Charity Commissioners. The organization has changed its name to the Association for Lichen Sclerosus and Vulval Health. FB shared with the AGM how important the chance to interact with other BSSVD members is to her. She is isolated and often lonely in the work she does and she appreciates being able to associate and socialize with those who attend the meetings. 8. Any other Business. Proposal (IH) that support groups who receive yearly contribution from the BSSVD should be represented and write report for the BSSVD AGM. The President announced the winner of the best oral presentation, Thomas Gray and the best poster, Aysha Javed

9. Date of future BSSVD meetings 2015 Oxford – one day meeting 2016 Cornwall – two day meeting 2017 ?Sheffield
