Overview of Proposed Project Max 250 words. Include: a brief account of proposed activities; some general and sector-specific information; and a specific identification of the problem or challenge that the proposed project would seek to address

Expected Outcomes Max 200 words Include: an table of expected results that are directly attributable to the project with dates or milestones; a narrative account of how these expected results may impact more broadly on: the sector, the local economy, and key groups including, as appropriate, consideration of marginalised and/or vulnerable groups such as pastoralist communities, women, young farmers, and others. The expected scale of such impacts should be made clear. Activities Max 200 words. Elaborate on the activities and outputs (e.g. people hours, equipment) required for your organisation to reach the above outcomes.

Sustainability Max 200 words. How will project benefits be sustained after the grant period has completed?

Irish partner background Max 250 words Concisely describe the Irish partner’s background and expertise including an account of what experience, qualifications and capacity they bring to the project. In particular, include any relevant financial or technical expertise.

African partner background Max 250 words Concisely describe the African partner’s background and expertise including an account of what experience, qualifications and capacity they bring to the project. In particular, include any relevant financial or technical expertise.

Partnership background Max 150 words Describe the background of the partnership, append relevant Memoranda of Understanding. Local participation Max 200 words Explain how the community and other partners, including government and civil society partners, are involved in the project. What ongoing role will they have in project implementation, monitoring and evaluation?

Added Value Max 150 words What is the added value that your organisation brings to this initiative? Including the Irish HQ/office where applicable. Please provide a brief analysis of relevant stakeholders to demonstrate your organisation’s added value.

Section Four - Funding

A budget in table form for the entire project must be emailed with the application. Recipients of funding under this scheme are entrusted with public funds, to be spent strictly for the purposes presented in the funding proposal.

Monitoring Max 200 words Provide an account of how the project’s progress will be monitored including information on who would be in an oversight role and where they would be based, how success and progress would be measured, and dates or time intervals for such monitoring activities (e.g. every quarter, every year).

Evaluation Max 200 words Please state what evaluations are planned. How and when will they take place? Who will undertake these evaluations? With whom will the results be shared? Which stakeholders will participate?

Note on Further Documentation Requirements Should the application here enclosed be successful in the preliminary round, further information may be sought at a further stage including:

Payment details; Company and tax information; An account the project-related “flow of funds1”; Background contracts, memoranda of understanding; Any further documentation found to be relevant and agreed with partners.

1 The flow of funds must include an account of: how much funding is directed to the project; where (i.e. from what source) are these funds; how and through whom are these funds channelled to the ultimate expenditure area.
