A-State WolfTracks Yearbook Application 2015

Thank you for your interest in a Fall 2015 position on the WolfTracks Yearbook Staff for Arkansas State University. Please complete the attached application packet for consideration as a member of the 2015 staff. The information sheet, short answer questions, and a completed recommendation form should be returned to the Leadership Center, PO Box 1980, State University, AR 72467 by 4:00pm Friday, April 24, 2015. The recommendation form should be completed by a full-time faculty or staff member of ASU-Jonesboro (Leadership Center staff excluded) unless applying as a high school senior; high school seniors may have their current yearbook advisor or a current teacher complete the form. Please mark Attn: Katey Provence on the envelope. Late applications will not be accepted; however, applications may be submitted via email.

Upon submitting your application, you may be called for an interview (phone or in person depending on your location). The selected staff will be announced via email. Please contact Katey Provence, Coordinator of Student Services in the Leadership Center at [email protected] or 972-2055 if you have additional questions concerning the application process.

Payment:

Staff will be paid on a monthly basis. Payment details are explained on page 3 along with position descriptions.

Requirements:

2.5 A-State GPA (or 3.0 High School GPA if you will be an incoming freshman) Attend a weekly 30-minute staff meeting (Every Wednesday at 4pm) Meet with Advisor as needed for specific assignments Must work well with deadlines Required to work office hours (See page 3) Must work well with teammates & be open to feedback Must have Josten’s Yearbook Avenue (or equivalent yearbook software) knowledge Must have strong written communication skills Must be willing to reach out to A-State students and staff for information, photos, quotes, etc. Application Information Sheet: Please print clearly or type answers.

o Co-Editor Photography (Working most with photos, editing, etc.)

. 5 office hours per week

. Stipend = $800 (Monthly payment of $200 September – December)

o Spread Designer (Working most with quotes, captions, photo placement, etc.)

. 5 office hours per week

. Stipend = $300 (Monthly payment of $100 September – November)

*The WolfTracks Yearbook advisor reserves the right to choose a staff based on what is best for the publication and not necessarily filling positions exactly as they are listed above.
