1. Approval of Minutes: February 22, 2016 VanDeusen moved to approve, Bechtel 2nd. Approved Unanimously.

2. Announcements: Budget – Remaining Balance $6,400 (12/14/15) Applying for a grant would be used to help the chairs over the summer.

 Call for Proposals! 2016 Assessment Institute in Indianapolis o Proposals are due: March 21, 2016 o For more information click here! Would be great to send the Assessment Council members

4. New Business: a. HLC reaffirmation of accreditation documents: Assessment Council member prepare for discussion with Dr. Douglass at the March 28 Assessment Council Meeting

b. Approval of New Assessment Plans:  TESOL UG Certificate (Teaching English as a Second Language) Stohlman moved to approve contingent with revisions, VanDeusen 2nd. Approved Unanimously.

 Reading Major - New Assessment Plan o Discussion: After program review, a decision was made to develop a reading major since many thought it would be more effective than a Language Arts Major and offer more options to students. The Reading Major will provide students a stronger focus in the area of reading. The Language Arts Major encompasses a larger focus than reading such as writing. Bechtel moved to approve contingent with revisions, Richards 2nd. Approved Unanimously.

c. Assessment Feedback Letters  Environmental Health and Safety-M. Carson  Physician Assistant Program-M. Carson Stohlman moved to approve, Perisawamy 2nd. Approved Unanimously.

 Counseling and Special Education-T. Perisawamy Stohlman moved to approve, Bechtel 2nd. Approved Unanimously.

Postponed until next meeting 3/28: a. Revision of Assessment Plan Approval Process: Incorporate HLC criterion. Review for next meeting

b. Update on February 29th Internship Workshop c. Assessment Handbook – Discussion of items for university-wide handbook

5. Other:
