WHAT: Six hundred guests are coming together to support JDRF and its mission to find a cure for type 1 diabetes through funding of research at the 10th Annual Hope Ball. The black-tie optional event is one of the premiere galas in Austin. Starting with VIP Reception and then proceeding to the Cocktail and Welcome Reception, guests are delighted by all the details that make the Hope Ball unique. Silent, Super Silent, and Live Auctions have items found at no-other gala in Austin. This year’s program honors a very special family – The Carpenters and a very special company Randall’s Food and Pharmacy. Both have been long time supports of JDRF’s mission. The evening concludes with guests dancing the night away to entertainment by Texas troubadour Cory Morrow.

VISUALS: Beautiful photographs of children affected by type 1 diabetes are displayed near registration and lead the way to the Keys of Hope Tribute Wall. In the photos, the children are all playing hide and seek to represent JDRF’s mission to seek and find a cure for type 1 diabetes.

The Stunning Keys of Hope Tribute Wall stands near the entrance to the silent auction ballroom. On the tribute wall guests hang stylized metal keys with satin ribbon in honor of someone affected by type 1 diabetes. An entire ballroom is filled with hundreds of live and silent auction items all displayed by category.

Standing in the center of the auction ballroom, stands a Spectacular Tree of Hope. The Tree of Hope is displayed on a stage raised above the ballroom floor and decorated with hundreds of glass ornaments each representing a surprise silent auction item.

During the silent and super silent auctions, guests visit the Hopetini Bar for Hope Ball’s signature Hopetinis martini. The colorful bar area has a bar-size ice sculpture.

Also visually impressive is the grand entrance to second ballroom for dinner, program, and performances. The entrance ushers guests from one magical room into the next more intimate one. Tables all decorated with centerpieces and favors for guests.
