Fan coil unit for 2-pipe systems (cooling or heating) and 4-pipe systems (cooling and heating), for water-side control by valves, type VKB.

The fan coil unit consists of:

Housing for free installation in floor cavities or false floors, consisting of a tor- sion-resistant pan of galvanized sheet steel (sheet steel thickness 1 mm), sur- face coated. With separate valve housing. Leadthroughs for water/pipes (pre- cut) and cables on the face or room side, for variable connection.

Foot traffic resistant ventilation grille, width approx. 320 mm, over the entire unit width, made of natural anodized aluminium, serving as an inspection opening. Thus, all components are easily accessible from above for maintenance. Frame all around, made of natural anodized aluminium.

Low-noise large-area tangential fan, with low maintenance and low-noise ball bearing, with uniform discharge over the entire width for a well room air flow. Impeller blade with direct drive. Energy-saving operation due to vibration-isolated, high-efficiency EC motor with low energy consumption, max.11...20 W. Motor protection through integrated thermo switch. Stepless triggering, activation via room temperature controller (accessory). Control input 0...10 V DC. Connection via supplied mating plug.

Supporting feet, with foot traffic insulation, 4 pieces, height continuously ad- justable from inside of the unit after installation.

Heat exchanger - with 1 water circuit for 2-pipe system (cooling or heating), - with 2 separate water circuits for 4-pipe system (cooling and heating), ½ “ internal thread, with pressed-on aluminium fins for a high caloric output and high natural convection. Operating pressure up to 12 bar, with venting.

Control valve housing on the unit's left hand side.

Air outlet duct close to the facade for better facade shielding.

Protection cardboards, foot traffic resistant, for protection of the unit during building phase.

Variants

o FQ Integrated displacement air diffuser, separated from recirculating air. Fresh air connection (sockets) for air flow rates up to 130 m3/h, connection via DN 100 socket. Fresh air supply is realized low-impulse via the perforated sheet which also serves to cover the valve compartment.

o FL Integrated linear air diffuser, separated from recirculating air. Fresh air connection (box) for high thermal comfort, with inductive fresh air slot for air flow rates up to 200 m3/h, connection via one or two DN 100 sockets. Fresh air supply is realized via separate box on the bottom side. Discharge section across the entire unit length. Grille width 335 mm.

o Damper KLI integrated in the fresh air connection.

o Mixed displacement air insert MQ. Spreading vanes to improve indoor air flow, integrated in the discharge section to produce a combined mixed/displacement air flow at low air speed, for increased cooling output and reduced temperature layer forma- tion in the occupied zone.

o Condensate tray for condensing operation. Stainless steel, with special insulation and drainage socket 15 mm for connection to the condensate network on site.

o Stainless steel grille (natural anodized frame)

o Aluminium roller grille

o Wood roller grille in different wood types

o Prepared for installation in line. Differently formed side panel to take a connecting sheet and give the grille a continuous look.
