7.C. Lay cartons flat, with adequate support to ensure flatness and to prevent damage to pre- finished surfaces.

PART 3 EXECUTION

3.1 EXAMINATION 10155-17 1.A. Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.

1.B. Verify that measurements, substrates, supports, and environmental conditions are in accordance with requirements for installation.

1.C. If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.

3.2 PREPARATION

2.A. Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.

2.B. Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.

3.3 INSTALLATION

3.A. Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.

3.B. Install units rigid, straight, level, and plumb. Secure in position with manufacturer's recommended anchoring devices.

3.C. Adjust pilaster anchors for substrate variations; conceal anchors with pilaster shoes.

3.D. Install with clearances indicated on Drawings. Where clearances are not indicated, allow maximum 1/2 inch (13 mm) between pilasters and panels, and 1 inch (25 mm) between panels and walls.

3.E. Install door strike keeper on pilasters in alignment with door latch.

3.F. Equip each compartment door with one coat hook and bumper.

3.G. Stirrup Brackets: Secure panels to walls and to pilasters with no fewer than [two brackets attached] [three brackets attached at midpoint and] near top and bottom of panel. Locate wall brackets so holes for wall anchors occur in masonry or tile joints. Align brackets at pilasters with brackets at walls.

3.4 ADJUSTING

4.A. Adjust and align hardware to uniform clearance at vertical edge of doors

4.B. Adjust adjacent components for consistency of line or plane.

3.5 PROTECTION

5.A. 10155-18 Protect installed products until completion of project.

5.B. Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.

3.6 CLEANING
