Chapter Websites - Certification

The beginning of a new calendar year is a good time to audit your chapter’s website to ensure it includes information relevant to your members regarding certification and recertification. Check to see if your chapter’s website could be improved with the following certification information:

Certification

 Is certification information easily assessable on your chapter’s website?

 Does your website include information on obtaining SHRM Certification in addition to the HRCI Certification?

 Does your chapter’s website advertise whether you hold SHRM Certification Prep courses or if you provide some type of assistance with becoming SHRM Certified?

 Is there a university or college nearby that offers SHRM Certification Prep courses? Could this information be added to your website to make it easy for your members?

 As the SHRM Pathway is no longer available, was wording related to the Pathway deleted from your website?

Recertification

 Do you have information on SHRM Recertification on your website in addition to HRCI Recertification information?

 Do you advertise SHRM Recertification Credits for your chapter’s programs?

SHRM Recertification Provider Program

SHRM changed the Preferred Provider name to Recertification Provider and issued a new seal to use on your chapter documents and website.

 Is your chapter’s website updated regarding the change that your chapter is a SHRM Recertification Provider?

 Did your chapter delete the old Preferred Provider Seal and replace it with the SHRM Recertification Provider Seal? You can obtain the new seal at: http://www.shrm.org/certification/orgs/recertificationproviders/pages/recertification- provider-seal.aspx
