December 2015 Newsletter
Dear Families,
Winter is here! Please replenish your children’s extra clothes bag with wintery items. They need heavy coats here at school, as we go outside for at least a few minutes every day. They have also been asking for hats and mittens/gloves, which we do not have here at school. Reminder: Tuition is due. We appreciate your timely payments.
December is a short month because of Winter Break. We follow the public school calendar and will be closed from December 21 – January 4.
Thursday, December 10, we will walk to the Hannon Library for storytime with our friend Ellen Gayton (previous SOU preschool parent)
Special thanks to Lichen Richardson, Llewella’s mama, for taking our amazing school photos, AND for helping us sew our festive cloth napkins for our Family Night Dinner. Lichen has extended the photo deadline, but please get your orders in by the end of this week. Thank you.
Family Night: December 17, from 5:30-7:00. We will be making soup here at school, but will post a sign-up sheet for pot luck items. We will eat from 5:30-6:30 and then Dan and Diane will join us for singing from 6:30-7:00. Please plan on bringing your entire family. The children love it.
Snack: Dec. 1-4 – Llewella
Dec. 7-11 – OPEN, can you help?
Dec. 14-18 – Coco
Birthdays: Only one this month. Kaya turns 5 on December 18.
While we focus on the changing of the seasons, we will also open up a pet vet in the back room for all future veterinarians and puppies. There is still much interest in the world of animals and animal families.
Wishing you all the best, and thankful for your support,
