1 [1282] 1 1 Whereas, throughout the season the players showed great 2 confidence which is attributable to Coach Dondi McGowan, whose 3 time and energy spent encouraging his team to play to their 4 individual and collective abilities necessarily led to their success; 5 and 6 7 Whereas, the team was comprised of Lamarckus Boswell, Lu 8 Griffin, Tristan Holliday, Anthony Breeze, Tommy Lee Hawkins, 9 Robb Francis, Shannon Foster, Peter Tomlin, Demetrius Blakely, 10 Dexter Terry, and Chris Grant; and 11 12 Whereas, the members of the General Assembly take great pride in 13 commending the young men of the Greenville High School Varsity 14 Boys Basketball Team for their tireless efforts and great 15 determination in an outstanding season and recognize them for this 16 wonderful accomplishment. Now, therefore, 17 18 Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives 19 concurring: 20 21 That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, 22 congratulate the Greenville High School Red Raiders Varsity Boys 23 Basketball Team on its impressive 2006 Class AAA State 24 Championship Title, and honor the players and their coach, Dondi 25 McGowan, on an exceptional season. 26 27 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to 28 Greenville High School Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Dondi 29 McGowan. 30 ----XX---- 31
