Tecnargilla 2014: the innovation has gone viral

Employment Minister Giuliano Poletti uses this expression to illustrate the innovative capacity of the Italian sector of Italian ceramic machinery manufacturers.

Day one of the world’s leading ceramic technology trade fair sees the arrival in Rimini of international visitors from all continents.

International Premio Aldo Villa presentation ceremony packed.

Tomorrow is a day dedicated to aesthetics with presentation of the Tecnargilla Design Award and the symposium on digital decoration and glazing.

Officially opened at 4pm by the Minister for Employment, Giuliano Poletti, the twenty- fourth Tecnargilla event has opened its doors with the best of fortune.

This year too, the world’s biggest showcase for technology applied to the ceramic and brick industries has a rich offering of technological previews from over 500 exhibitors distributed over a 75,000 sq.m. exhibition area; a +7% increase on the previous event.

“The technological innovation that these companies express is infectious.” Those are the words used by the Minister for Employment Giuliano Poletti to greet Tecnargilla’s exhibitors. “A world leader sector characterised by know-how, and collaboration between companies that are competitors but are united in offering world customers personalised and state-of- the-art solutions.”

This first day has seen the start of the influx of the international visitors who are travelling to Rimini to touch the technological innovations showcased there with their own hands.

Attendance was also high at the round table discussion on “Ceramic Industry, Geographical Area, Internationalization” held before presentation of the International Premio Aldo Villa to Franco Manfredini, president and managing director of the Casalgrande Padana group, Cavaliere del Lavoro (Italian Order of Merit for Labour) award holder and past-president of Confindustria Ceramica.

Tomorrow, 23 September, will be the day dedicated to creativity and aesthetics.

At the end of the international press conference, at 12 noon there will be the presentation of the third Tecnargilla Design Award, the Tecnargilla award celebrating the latest techno- logical innovations applied to the ceramic industry. Following it, at 1.30pm the sixth annual conference organised by ACIMAC on digital decor- ation and glazing will take place.
