Job Title External Sales Representative – Autosmart

Objective All sales activities within Autosmart product range to assigned accounts and/or areas. Manage and maintain consistency of product and service to the customer

Department External Sales

Working hours per Hours as required to carry out the job to a minimum of 40 hours per week. week

Reports to Sales Director Location Based at Henderson Road, Inverness. Post holder may be required to carry out duties at other Company sites.

Responsible for Presenting and the sale of company products and services to current and potential clients including the preparation, submission and progression of quotations. Following up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity. Progression of outstanding accounts as advised. Vehicle checks, maintenance and cleanliness. Monitoring and maintaining truck stock levels Security of all monies received by cash, card and cheque, giving due consideration of data protection. The Company has a health and safety policy, which outlines its responsibilities as an employer, and the responsibilities of its employees in respect of health and safety. All employees need to be aware of this policy and comply with its content. Complying with industry regulations and Health and Safety legislation, policy and procedures. Carrying out any other duties which are appropriate to the post as may be reasonably requested by line manager Working Ability to work independently and contribute to a team relationships Internally: Daily contact by e-mail, telephone or in person, with other team members and other Company staff. Externally: Contact with customers and, as required, suppliers by e-mail, telephone and in person Key result areas The post holder has no direct budgetary responsibility although they will have a responsibility for the delivery of cost effective work output. Meeting performance targets when applied Key tasks Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales - especially managing personal time and productivity. Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims. Identify sales prospects and contact these and current accounts. Advise customers on products and product use. Participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows. Developing and maintaining sales materials and current product knowledge. Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships. Prepare paperwork and maintain and develop a computerised customer and prospect database.

Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.

Identify and resolve client concerns. Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff. Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales. Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock. Decanting products from IBCs to Truck display and to customers. Ensuring labelling is correct. At all times ensure allocated vehicles and equipment is maintained in a safe, serviceable and secure condition. Adhere to all MIS Ltd policies and procedures including those relating to health and safety and environmental protection. Adhere to all legal and recommended driving requirements. Core skills Class 2 Driving Licence and ADR are essential for this role – support may be available to help upgrade licences

MIS Ltd HR Good knowledge of Health & Safety at work and driving laws IT literacy and basic familiarity with computer packages, e.g. Microsoft Office. Projecting a smart, positive image of the Company and its products and services. Being able to balance conflicting priorities within the given time Excellent customer service skills Good communication and interpersonal skills. Operating knowledge of relevant systems, equipment and processes. Ability to respond positively to new challenges and change Time Horizon Initial 1 month - Full time training on the current Company computerised operating systems; Company and departmental operating procedures.
