The competition was held at Chico State’s Paul L. Byrne Memorial Agricultural Research and Teaching Center on March 13, 2010.

The educational event was an opportunity for approximately 1,000 FFA members from California, Oregon, Washington and Nevada to compete in 21 agricultural contests, ranging from livestock judging to farm record keeping to vegetable crop judging. Students were judged on their performance and skills in different contest areas. FFA is a national youth organization, founded in 1928, of over 500,000 student members that are being prepared for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture.
