“The Kingdom of God vs. the kingdom of darkness” Part 3 (The War and the Peace)

We will study: ‘The War and the Peace’

Scripture Reading: Genesis 3:13-15, NIV  ‘ Enmity’ refers to hatred; the idea here is there being hostility between Satan and mankind.  The war within Satan is his knowledge of his appointed time of judgment set in the heavens. Matthew 8:29, NIV, Revelation 12:12, NIV  The war within mankind derived first from the sin nature and second from Satan’s oppression against (mankind) which is the image of God. Galatians 5:17AMP

A. The war and the peace we are experiencing are the internal struggles of accepting Kingdom self-esteem. We are a people of confidence in our God and we live by standards higher than that of the world. 1 Peter 2:9-12, Message Bible  Kingdom Self-esteem believes in one’s ability to have the confidence to surpass any destructive influence of doubt and negativity of Satan’s deceptive measures of scheming against us.  The struggles we have internally are fused by the perceptions others have vs. God’s Word which validates who we are and what we have in Him.  Kingdom self-esteem is built on three principles: a. Knowing your Kingdom authority over your spirit, soul and body. b. Knowing your call as a Kingdom chosen by God. c. Knowing your God works through you. 1. The war on earth and in the heavens was a spiritual invasion on the Kingdom of God through a back door of deception through the soul. 2 Corinthians 11:3, NIV, 1 Timothy 2:14, NIV, Revelation 13:14, NIV, Revelation 20:10, NIV 2. Satan’s kingdom has been contending with the Kingdom of God to stop the seed of the woman from coming forth. Revelation 12:1-5NIV 3. The scheme Satan organized was to completely contaminate humanity with his seed and thereby prevent the outcome of his destruction through the woman’s seed. Genesis 6:1-4, NIV 4. Satan’s deceptions and lies haven’t changed; his agenda is the same. He sometimes uses spiritual leaders who characterize themselves as servants of God to deceive God’s people. John 8:42-44, NIV, Matthew 23:33, NIV 2

5. Satan has used the cloak of religion to lead people away from the truth. This is through false teaching and demonic entities that came to be gods. Acts 13:10, NIV 6. The seeds of Satan are among us within our churches. Some of those who say they are born-again are not born of the Spirit but they are planted in our midst by Satan. Matthew 13:36-42, NIV

B. The peace we have is the virtue of the Kingdom of God that brought order back to the world. The seed of a woman birthed a sinless man to destroy Satan’s kingdom and redeem sinful mankind. Galatians 4:4-7, NIV 1. The birth of Jesus introduced the path that led to peace granted to those who believed in Him for the forgiveness of their sins. Luke 1:79, NIV, Luke 2:14, NIV 2. The internal struggles warring in the soul to please God through works of the law is taken out of the equation through faith in Jesus. Romans 5:1-2, NIV  Peace refers to prosperity, abundance or over flow. 3 John 2, NKJV, John 10:10, NKJV  Peace with God speaks of the debt of all sin as paid in full. Romans 8:6, NIV  Peace with God through Jesus is where we obtain the ability to overcome troubles in this world. John 14:27, NIV, John 16:33, NIV 3. The Kingdom of God is founded on a peace which indicates enjoying life to its fullness. Romans 14:17, NIV

Conclusion: The Kingdom of God suffered the war and the peace over the ages. The war was external with Satan, the angles against God’s angles, and the internal struggle of man to please God through the works of the Law. Jesus however, brought peace with God and mankind through His death, burial and resurrection. Peace is God’s gift of prosperity to everyone who believes in Jesus as Christ.
