Idaho Promise Scholarship If you have a 3.0 grade point average or better or have an ACT score of 20 or better and are planning on attending an Idaho school as a full time student you will receive this scholarship. Dave Kludt-ALC Natural Resource 2010 Scholarship Fund The be eligible for the $1,000 award, the student must demonstrate that they are related to an ALC member and planning to attend college or technical school in a field of study that will return them to work in the natural resource arena. Examples of fields of study eligible for this scholarship include: diesel mechanics, truck driving, machine operation, forestry, forestry technician, biology, hydrologist, or law with the intent of practice in natural resource field in defense of logging and forest management. Idaho Power’s Academic Excellence Scholarships Deadline: March 1, 2010 Idaho Power Company’s scholarship program annually provides five $1,000.00 scholarship grants for graduating seniors who attend accredited high schools in the Idaho Power Company service area. Our service area includes parts of southern Idaho and eastern Oregon. To be eligible for scholarship:  Students must have an accumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher  Be enrolled full time in a college, university or technical school in Idaho or Oregon.  Grants may be renewed for up to three years if the student maintains a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund Deadline: March 31, 2010 Mrs. Scott was killed during one of the three attacks by terrorists on September 11, 2001 she perished when terrorists crashed American Airlines Flight 77 into the building of the Pentagon. Her family created this scholarship in honor of Mrs. Scott’s commitment to the children of her community. Applications will be judged on several aspects including relationship of applicant to the logging community, an ALC member of a sponsoring from an ALC member, and the area of study.
