ISN collective member societies membership opportunity An ISN collective society is an ISN affiliated society that has agreed to join the ISN collectively. The ISN collective society pays an annual fee to the ISN and ensures that a minimal percentage of its members1 joins the ISN, for a reduced membership fee per member.

The society and membership rate is broken down into three groups of economies: high-income, upper-middle income and lower-middle income countries. We use the gross national income (GNI) per capita - World Bank Atlas method (www.data.worldbank.org) to define a fair fee system. ISN offers different packages and pricing according to the income category of the country. For the pricing please contact the ISN Director of Membership and Marketing, whose contact details are below.

Membership through ISN collective societies provides members with the same benefits as their corresponding individual categories, see table p 2.

List of benefits For your society leaders You will be become an integral part of the ISN community that builds capacity for healthcare professionals via grants, education and training and bridge the gaps of available care through advocacy and collaborations with our global partners. By connecting communities, you will develop a stronger understanding of the management of kidney disease. Concretely: o You have a seat on your ISN regional board and are eligible to sit on the ISN council

o Your society is acknowledged on the ISN Gateway

o Endorsement of your congresses, courses and events

o You get exposure by announcing your congresses, courses and events on the ISN website

o At WCN you are offered a complimentary basic exhibitor pack as well as complimentary registrations to the congress.

o You can co-sponsor an ISN a program and get additional exposure

o As institutional partner, you are invited to a networking session followed by a social event during WCN and/or at ASN Kidney week

2/5 For your society members Those signing up for ISN collective membership through your society will enjoy the same benefits as ISN individual members but at a significantly reduced rate. Below you find the table listing the benefits per package. Please be informed that the availability of the packages depends on the country2.

Trainees will benefit of the advantages of the ISN Full Online membership. The first year will be for free., the second year will cost 25$, and the third and subsequent years 50$. Renal health care professionals will have access to the ISN Academy package at a reduced rates: 30$ for High income countries (HIC), 25$ for upper-middle income countries (UMIC), 15$ for lower-middle income countries (LMIC) and 0$ for low income countries (LIC) residents.

2 Joint group membership is only available to lower-and middle income country residents. Academy membership is not available to high income country residents.

3/5 How to become an ISN collective member society? We ask you to submit your request to the attention of the ISN President, who will review the application on behalf of the Executive Committee. After pre-approval by the executive committee, the respective regional board will be informed and will advise on the application. Upon positive recommendation, the ISN council ratifies the status of the new collective society.

The request can be sent to the Director of Membership and Marketing at ISN headquarters (please see below for contact details) and has to include: o The filled-in application form (see p 4 and 5). o An official letter from the society, addressed to Dr. David Harris, ISN President, stating that - the society wishes to become an ISN collective member society - the society adheres to the Declaration of Istanbul against organ trafficking and transplant tourism - the society adheres to internationally-accepted ethical standards in clinical practice and research o The constitution (statutes) of the association o The current membership list o A short description of the society activities over the past three years
